From all the AE All-Star players we want to send a special thank you to Jeff Gomes who out of his dedications to these boys and their success went out and purchased a new CF3 bat for the team. Jeff it is people like you that make things like this special for these boys and even though you do not have a kid on the team it shows your dedication to the program and these boys. Again thank you very much for stepping up and helping this team out when they needed help your are truly an important part of their success.

GL AE
Just a small FYI:
if you all are approached by a man named Rob Bruno don't shrug him off.
this is a person that may come in handy 3-5 years down the road. he usually scouts big tournaments like this for future reference.
Rob Bruno is the founder of NorCal Baseball Club.
Several players that participated in the Northern California Divisionals Tournament that Turlock National played in were fist seen there. Some players he jotted notes down on Ryan Allgrove ('02 San Carlos LL, Fresno State), Kevin Eichorn and Bobby Crocker ('02 Aptos LL, UC Santa Clara), Austin Keaton ('02 Turlock National LL, MJC)

FYI: Kevin Kramer plays for NorCal and Rob Bruno and is presently in Georgia playing for them... He's been to AZ, FLA and several other venues. NorCal is about as good as it gets...

All Baseball Fans,
Here is a baseball question for you if you have not already heard.
In Little League baseball, "When or how can a pitcher pitch a perfect game and still lose?
The young player for Briarwood (Santa Clara) did just that against Turlock last night. Tall left hander throwing smoke. He looked like he was about 14 or older. Talk was he throwing in the mid 70's. He had 19 out 20 strike outs. He pitched a great game for his team. I believe he only went to a three ball count with 2 batters until his last inning, then went three ball count to a couple more batters his last inning. Twice the catcher missed the ball that inning and almost took out the plate umpire.
Of course the answer is the pitcher reach his maxium pitch count.
I know that I am dating myself but I have not seen a player at the Little League level pitch a game like that for over 40 years when my brother played on the same team with Terry Gray and Rick Frazier (AL - 67). Terry Gray struck out 24 batters and the other team from the Visilia area struck out 22 in 9 innings losing 1-0. Then they had no pitch count and no arm after that game. My brother was the next pitcher to come in and pitch. Then the pitchers with a no pitch count could go a maxium of 9 innings.
The team plays again tonight (Woodcreek -Roseville) at 5:30 (bring a coat - right next to the ocean). They win they play Saturday at 1pm. Lose they play Friday 5:30 and everyday through Tuesday.
