Modesto scored all six of its runs in the first three
innings and followed the strong pitching effort of Bradin
Hagens to top Southeast Regional Champion Mobile.
Hagens, who allowed five hits and struckout eight batters,
gave up a three-run home run to Mobile's Drew Pritchard.
Modesto, Regional champions from the Pacific Southwest,
took advantage of three Mobile errors. Two of California's
runs were unearned.
Terance Marin had two hits for Modesto and won one of the
game's Ron Tellefsen MVP awards. Prichard won the same
honors for Mobile, while teammate Joshua Huggins had two
base hits.

Modesto's offensive was alive with nine players combining
for 11 base hits, including six extra base hits to turn
back Charleston.
Modesto is now 2-0 in pool play, while Charleston stands
1-1.
Dylan Werner pitched the final five innings in relief to
notch the win for the California club. The Pacific
Southwest Regional champion also took full advantage of
five Missouri errors. Four of Modesto's runs were unearned
runs.
Terance Marin and Lincoln Clapper had two hits apiece for
Modesto.
Tyler Whybark slapped two safeties for Charleston, the
Midwest Plains Regional Champion.
