sound to me like someone doesnt know anything about safty and the whole story. the kid threw the bat not once not twice but three times!!! sounds to me like the person who doesnt know the whole story should keep quiet! and an umpire will eject a pitch for to many batters hit if he feels that they are intentional! that or have the kid taking out of the pitching spot! but if this person knew what he was talking about i have never know a coach to leave a kid in that hits batter, intentionally or not!!!!

If everyone gets enlightened a little we all win. I do believe most people now understand the rule. Not that it'll ever happen on a HR again though! What are the odds of that??? And Greenie - whether it's on the HR board or not, it counts! I hope someone saved the ball for you. It's you firsr homer run no matter what transpired after ontact. You know it was a homer and that's all that matters. Congrats!

Baseball teaches a lot of great life lessons. There are some things no one can ever take from you. Your integity, an education... the list goes on. No one can take the home run away from the kid. I hope you understand that no call will ever take what you did away. You should be proud!

One last thing kid. I'm sure you've leanred a lot from this incident. The most important thing - always take the high road. If people mention this to you don't ridicule the blue, just say "he made the call he thought was right." Life goes on and there'll be other games to play. And the really cool thing about the high road - there's a lot less traffic

yes crash is right the kid hit a homer but he was called out! rule r rule! the only thing i have learned is that age doesnt make you wiser, experience does! someone can be old with no experience! ive also learned even old people are stuborn! we need to let this go its over! i still am sided with my call! there is no specfic rule on this so the safety of the matter is what counts. i know for a fact the kid will either try or never throw that bat again. umpires are in the game for safety, to make sure the game runs smoothly. everything happens for a reason! if all of us cant see past the call is what it is and thats it then i dont know how any of you got this far in life.

You just have to register. Too many people come in under aliases and don't own up to their comments. Not referring to you but I have wanted to do this for a long time.

All set I see. BTW - Crash is arguably the most knowledgable baseball guy in Turlock. Formerly a Varsity BB coach & he operates a stout travel ball team comprised of all local talent. This team beat a stacked national championship team last year. He probably knows 10 times more about bb than u & I put together. We can both learn from him if given the chance. I'm pooped! Have a good night Blue!
