My son's team may not have been redrafted, but he had a new coach, new team name and many new teammates. Sounds a lot like what the kids will be facing this year to me. I am not going to get into a pissing match with you about this. I am going to take the high road and agree to disagree with you.

Yeah a pissing match would be a lil difficult for you. As for the high ground there is always a first for everyone.

After reading a post directed to me on page 3, I can not let this issue go. (There goes the high road!) You stated four well informed members of the board "disagreed" with me. Disagreed with me about what? I am not on the board. I have no vested interest in their decision. You were unsure of my position on the matter, so I answered you. You must enjoy riling me up, Chris!

Nah, I don't enjoy getting you going Beth although it doesn't take much. Here is what you said.
I simply said there were 4 board members who would disagree with you. They voted in opposition. I'm sorry but I assumed you agreed with your husband's vote in favor of redrafting.

I know that this is a very heated and controversial decision that will be debated for months to come. Maybe I am naive, but I honestly believe the board decided to redraft simply out of fairness and nothing else. Like I previously mentioned, people might be getting bent out of shape for nothing. Nothing is carved in stone and the numbers aren't really known. If the need for three to four expansion teams isn't there, I am sure the redraft will be reconsidered. Just my thoughts.

I would say 3 disagreed. One voted no strictly because he didn't want his son to go through tryout's again. Great reason huh?

BTW...Hi Beth. How have you been?

Agreed Beth - My apologies to you and I hope your right. The redraft will be readdressed one way or the other as we have secured enough membership votes to call a membership meeting. We'll pull that trigger when and if necessary.

Its at least as good as your reasons Jim and as honorable. Perhaps you should consider those sorts of things yourself.

Hey Jim! All is well with me. Just busy with work, kids and getting everything ready for Christmas. Enjoying our time off from football and getting ready for another season of Little League. It looks to be quite a beginning! I hope all is well with you and your family. Have a Merry Christmas!

If the board wanted to distance itself from any conjecture about collusion coaches kids should be re-drafted as well. There can be no finger pointing that way. That's the only fair way to do it. If it's truly all about the kids then a coach shouldn't care where he ends up...

It looks like this will be a replay of the Colts mess. That one had fists thrown at the board meeting and a lot of pissed off parents. Now look at it 2 years later. 3 Super bowl wins and a runner up. TYFB has never been in better shape.

Thats a ridiculous analogy, one has absolutely nothing to do with the other. Did the 49ers and vikings return everyone to the draft?
