I agree Mark. I do think next year's Pitman freshman team should be good group. Despite Jim's ramblings I've done my coaching duties and can't wait to be done.

I think there is more talent at Pitman than some of you know! My son has personally played little league and travel ball with the majority of the both schools as teammates. I would have to say the schools are evenly matched!

I agree Kenny. The most amazing thing is your son's a stud despite his parentage.

He was a freshman this year. This years Pitman frosh would have took the league if it hadn't been for a bad call in a game against Turlock. Both teams (including the jv) seem to be evenly matched. That was what my comment was referring to. I think the next three years will be exciting and one school will not over power the other. Only my opinion ;D ;D ;D

^^ well then that is what i was referring to........as hyou know Turlock had 3 Frosh up playing JV.....therefore the Frosh team was probly a little weak last year. however that doesnt mean that the clas of '11 is weak. you just didnt see them because they were playing tues and thurs and doing quite well if i may add....
about the JV. there top pitcher throws 85 MPH and wasplaying Varsity....he was the Ace on the Varsity staff as earned All-League Honors (2nd Team) as Sophmore.
al i am saying is base your predictions on all players at the school not just the ones on frosh and JV, because in reality those games mean ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING to most.
i dont know how much enphasis Pitman puts on those game but i do know that Turlock High goals for those teams is the development of players and nothing else matters....
one more note...the reason i say this and i have said this for many years to Turlock Fans (Football) they always talk about how they were 20-0 as Frosh and as JV and how they beat allt he best players that the other schools have to offer.......well thats not always the case., if i am not mistaken turlock Football has been undefeated in something like 12 out of their last 16 Frosh and JV teams YET havent done much at the Varsity levels.....Why?? because teams like Merced, GV, and Pitman had excellent players playing up that those Turlock teams never lined up against...........Just like Pitman didnt have to Face Kramer and company.......and the Pitman JV didnt have to face Wheeland.........

Didn't mean to ruffle the feathers there...........just a difference of opinion, thats all. As for Kramer (who is a great kid and comes from a great family), we have faced him in travel, and played with him (and company) in travel, so I know what YOU are saying. And for throwing 85, there are more than one boy at Pitman that throw that fast. But as YOU know that doesn't make a great pitcher. So we are back to ....... we just have a difference of opinion

Knezme, Pitman lost to Los Banos, Buhach and Turlock so Pitman would not have won league. Turlock had 1 loss

feathers not being ruffled at all....my brother is already out (class of '08) of Turlock High and will be playing at Merced JC next Spring....starting Shortstop for 2 years on the Varsity, Starting Shortstop all 4 years at THS. He will more thatn likely be a 2nd Baseman at the next level as he is a bit on the small side 5'8 170......time will tell
what i can tell you with 100% certainty is that Pitman has NOBODY that throws at or over 85!!! Snodgrass will probly sit low 80's. Harris will probly sit 76-80 MPH from the Left Side.
i will even go on to say that the CCC will have 3 pitchers at or over 85 MPH but only 1 near or slightly over 90 MPH. Wheelend from Turlock High and Garrett Adams and Conner Oldcorn from Buhach Colony. I hope you have heard of Dylan Floro also from Buhach Colony in Atwater. He was in the top 5 best High School pitchers in the state this year as a JUNIOR. this is a kid that will touch low 90's and probly sit at 88-92 the whole game with excellent command of his pitches.......
the good thing is that we can all sit here and discuss baseball without offending each other. i actually think that discussions like these are great for getting information out about our players....

What!!! I am so totally offended!!! I know you don't think too much about the lowly freshman but here is the group of kids I am aware will be starting at Pitman 2008. Nacimento, Derr, Olsen, Herrera (broke 70 on my gun at practice recently), Souza-Johnson, Kha, Essary, Lil Keaton, Zimmer, Kennedy, Corvello, Cederland, Ibarra and a bunch I forgot.
THS gets Thomas, Gomes, Marchant, Cumberland, Serpa . . . who else will be going there?
