To clarify a few things. I don't think I'm perfect or always right, and I do admit when I've made a mistake. They (mistakes) are rare, but I do. OK, there's that tongue in cheek humor I often use on this board that some people may take as me thinking I'm perfect... But I have never vilified anyone, nor would I. But Tony you crossed the line. But I've got broad shoulders and can handle it. I try to keep things positive here (and everywhere). Stand by what you want Tony, I never poked the ump in the chest and I never raised my voice to him. If the Board wants to know what I spoke to the young man about, I'll gladly do so because it's nothing I'm ashamed of. I will not discuss it here because this is not the forum in which to do it. I can tell you I did not cuss at the young man, nor would I. It is nothing that I wouldn't say to my own sons and I spoke to him in a normal tone of voice. I was not "caught up in the moment" and I did not lose it. End of that story. Lance, the umpire that left the field a few years ago did so only after I calmly asked him for his first and last name. I never yelled at him though I did raise my voice loud enough so that he could he me from the third base coaches box. He called a kid safe at third on a force play, The runner was out by at least ten feet. When I asked why he was safe he said because the fielder didn't tag him. The young man didn't get it and id not know what a force play was so I asked him for his name so I could let the UIC know the kid needed some help with the rules. Was I exasperated. Duh. Yelling... if that's what you want to call it, OK. But I could have been a whole lot louder. Under the circumstances I think I controlled myself more than most coaches. Hell, even one of our most revered coaches made a kid leave the field Butt he kid over-reacted, just as the kid in my case did. BTW, inside the parekrs are not homers in my book But props to Adrian for nice hits.

Ok if you feel I crossed the line you are entitled to you opinion and I respect that. I do not feel that way. I completely stated the facts from the young man it happened to. I do not see any reason for the young man to make up lies but it does not matter you have had your say so and I had mine not that it matters so we are done with that. Crash there are some things I would like to discuss with you about things that were said and why I feel the way I do if you care we can talk over a beer and wings if not I am ok with that too, life goes on.

Why do all these threads end in wings & beer? Look at all of you....maybe you need to settle for salads & water ;D ;D Just kidding, I don't know half of you and I certainly don't have any room to talk. Just thought I'd try to lighten things up Probably not my place to do that though!

You are fine it is just sometimes we men have to bond as well. We just do it differently than the natives. That male ego thing gets in the way sometimes and we have to check ourselves and put it back in place.

Believe me I know about male ego. I'm married to one And he's been kicked out of games and all the other stuff you men have been talking about. If you knew my husband, you'd know that I can relate
