Ok I hear the ultimate, people that are complaining about the umpiring and then after the game you tell the umpire just because he is wearing the blue, he has no authority and your pointing your finger at his chest once the game is over is B.S. The umpire is a teenage kid so I guess if you use the intimidating factor it is suppose to work. The umpire should write it up and the coach should set his ass out for a couple of games. The reason I bring this up is we had this happen when I was LL Pesident and we suspended the coach for 2 games and on top of that he had to umpire 2 games. It really pisses me off when we have young teenage men out there trying to make honest money and we have coaches that do most of the Hottieing and crying and just because they are adults they try to intimidate these young men B.S. Why don't these same coaches try that with Coop or Jerry and see how far they will get. Yes I am pissed and the coach that did this has lost all my respect as a coach, why does he not get his ass out there behind the plate, I have never seen him do one damn game in the time he has been in this league but he is the first to Hottie and cry about the umpires we get. Maybe this coach should umpire his own games from behind the mound and these kids can laugh at his strike zone and B.S. calls. As a grown man do not try to bully a teenager if you need someone to try and bully my number is 345-7946 for Gods sake grow up it is little league.

ON N/NS THE COACHES ARE REQUIRED TO UMPIRE 2 NIGHTS DURING THE SEASON, THIS MIGHT HELP ON THE AMERICAN SIDE.

It sure sounds like you guys have problems in LL these days. I'm so happy to be out of the coaching and umpiring political BS. I now have crash as a travel ball coach. He's such a gentleman, he wouldn't send a runner at third down even if the other team had a ten run lead. And if the blues make a bad call, they are old enough we just kick the sh** out them and take their beer ;D ;D

The tone of this thread is not what I intended at all. I greatly repect good umps and that was my focus here. My post was all positive. I'd hoped others would jump in and talk about the good things they see our umps doing... I've had the pleasure of working with great umps at all levels; high school, travel ball, and Little League. I thought the guys that do a great job deserved a tip of that cap. Can't anyone say something good on this board w/o it being turned around???
I've umped many games, from high school ball to LL (including all stars with Coop down in Los Banos) to adult softball.
And if you're referring to my game Tony I'm afraid you have your facts wrong...

Well, it's not as many as Coop but more than most managers... I look forward to doing more of it when my coaching days are over!

Crash like I said before the guilty dog barks the loudest or if the shoe fits wear it. If you think that I may be talking about your game then I guess that I am. All I know is what people heard and seen of course there is always 2 sides to every story and which one is right yours or the young gentleman umpiring. I guess yours because he has no authority. I really do not care but these are young teenagers trying to make some money for theirselves. The umpire that was doing that game has had alot of good reviews from other teams and has had no problems but I guess it does not pay to have an off night in Little League especially if you are an umpire.
