The other part of it is evaluate how far can you go. It seems the big thing is to win the district, I would think the goal is to get to Williamsport. I know it is a pipe dream, but somebody has to, why not a Turlock Team.

These are all perfect world scenario's but we live in Turlock where we all want the best team as long as our kid is the center-piece. Then we have to worry about the coach screwing it up.......I'll use Crash as an example (because he won't get mad..lol), his 11 year old is a great 3 hitter but has hit him leadoff all year. Not your prototypical leadoff hitter but it can work occasionally but to do it every game sends the message that it's all about him. He will make the all-star team whether he gets 60 at-bats or 90.BTW- Does the Doberman analogy work with you and a hotwing? I like Chris' suggestion to evaluate every year. Besides, if you pull an 11 up you'll have parents Hottieing that this is their kids last year in LL and he shouldn't have to sit for an 11. They don't get it, but they are partially right.......it will probably be his last year in baseball at any level. It's sad to say but the only solution is........TRAVEL BALL.

Yep, it's all about Brett! Or it just might be he has the fewest Ks combined with hghest OB% ? I'll take a good debate over a hot wing any day And yes - I can't wait until all this is over and we can play real baseball!

Exactly Crash so why not build the 12's as strong as possible to try and reach that Goal. We would rather worry about little Johnny playing instead of maybe a kid that is better in talent but because of the political BS we go with what has been done for years so we do not piss anybody off and we always have teams second to the Riverparks and others. What the hell do I care the Renegades are my concern anyway. LOL

OK sorry Crash I will stay out of it I guess it does not matter about trying to accomplish something that has never been done before in Turlock. What does it matter anyway you have had Brett playing with 13's when he is 11 what would it matter now just to play up one age group. What the hell do I know I will shut my mouth from this point forward about All Stars. It looks like the Renegades will be able to start playing earlier than we thought, All Stars will be over real soon. LOL I wish all the Turlock teams the best of luck and I hope they go the distance no matter what everyone's opinion is on how it should be done. Ok Crash you made your point so I'm guessing you will be the coach of the AE 11's as Chaney would say it is over before it started. The 11's will have a good long break before travel ball starts. JK

By the way Craig, Chaney wants to know who has been keeping the books for the Cubs for Brett to be hitting over 400 for the year with 800 on base percentage. Is that the Cumberland school of score keeping in EFFECT. LOL,JK

His OB% is no where near 800... Mikey needs to put on his reading glasses! And when it comes to hits I'm the toughest SOB out there.... That's why you don't hear of Cubs players hitting .700.
If I had my druthers I'd rather not caoch all stars (so there's goes your angle about why I wan't Brett to plays 11s)...
You're right, it doesn't matter if Brett plays up. If he were picked, I think he could handle it. But as I said, you missed my point - which is... I previously said the thing to do is build the team that has the best chance of winning it all. This year in AE I think it's the 11s. Last year they lost by one to Riverpark in the finals. The game could have gone either way. They've proven they've got the legs. And with Gonzo they are one step closer... Of course, all it takes is one player (parent) to decide to forgo all stars and start travel ball - or for a Dad to say "if my son doesn't play up, he's not playing."

Thats BS. I'm getting so sick of these prima dona players and their PITA parents. Baseball is still a team sport. Apparently, for them its all about their own kids and screwing their team mates.
Next year, I hope the leagues say we've had enough of your BS now go ahead and play travel ball. The 11s on your side look like their going to be nails (maybe state champs) if the PITA parents don't screw it up.

I'm don't know of anyone who has said that... it was merely an example. I'd hope none of our parents would do that!

Interesting Note for the NS AS team......we WILL have to bring up 11's to field a competitive team .
