Tony - The N/NS is allowing 11s to go up.

I know Chris but the other side is so hell bent on keeping all the 11's down because of little Johnny may not get picked and they could really put together a very, very strong team on the American East side if they allowed some 11's to move up.

Perhaps they feel the 11s have the best chance of winning district. Is that possible? I'm not injecting myself into the A/AE debate on the topic but they look like they'd have an awful good 11 year old team.

thats like a group of parents telling a varsity coach they dont want their kids to play Varsity baseball because the team isnt very good and if they stay down on JV they might win a JV TITLE.
when it comes down to it, who cares about JV Baseball and who cares about 11 YO All Stars, all the credit and the fame comes from playing Varsity Baseball and LL 12 YO All Stars
its always good to PLAY UP, if you can play with the big boys that are bigger, stronger, and faster, then you are a baller, period!!!!!!

Last AE year's 10s beat Riverpark once and almost beat them in one helluva a championship game. I think they have every chance of beating them this year - if we don't lose our best players to the 12U team.

I agree with that Statement. In All-Stars, the 11-12 year old team should be the first priority and if the team is made up of mostly 11 yrs, then you know the next year, they will come back stronger. But you should take the best kids.
Good luck to all the dads and kids for all-stars. May your sons get picked.

who cares about JV Baseball and who cares about 11 YO All Stars I care... My son is 11 The JV/Var analogy is vastly different in my book. I agree if you can play Var, do it - but LL is different. As an 11 year old my son wants to play with his buddies. HS baseball is a lot different and about something else entirely. And I do know varisty coaches that have not pulled players up certain years b/c they have a strong class and he wanted them to gel together, knowing when they got to Var they'd be hitting on all cylinders.

Come up for some air Crash ! Your boy loves playing up. I'm sure he has plenty of "BUDDIES" that are 12. Take the best 11 or 12 players you have regardless of age and sit back and enjoy the games.

the AE team was good, I think Nat 10 was a good team, we just a crappy coach. And our pitcher couldn't gut out 140 pitches.
But we gave them all we had.

The A/E 11's might beat the A/E 12's. Not taking anything away from Damion or a few other kids but the 11 year old team should stay together to gear up for their 12 year old year.
Crash.....I believe Greenie was referring to your longwinded b.s. LOL.
City Tournament.......4 teams total, one winner from each division. Better luck next year to those who finish second. I would hate to see the more talented teams lose because some "shmuck" coach gets too cute with his pitching. Let the kids decide who is the best not a better coach.
Knee's......you're one mean redneck!

I care... My son is 11 And I do know varisty coaches that have not pulled players up certain years b/c they have a strong class and he wanted them to gel together, knowing when they got to Var they'd be hitting on all cylinders. but thats my point. only the parents of the kids will pay attention. no1 else cares. ESPN doesnt care. 12 Year olds is what matters, and if a kid is good enough to play with 12s he needs to play with 12's. i think too many people are making a bigger deal than what it is in trying to beat Riverpark. will it really mean much if AE 11s beat RP 11's with RP's 3 or 4 best 11's playing with the 12's? in hs i would say the only good reason not to pull up a soph/frosh would be because there are Seniors in front that are just as good or better. ya, every1 wants their team to "gel" together but, kids need to be prepared for Varsity and if it means they are ready at grade 10 then move them up, DONT HOLD THEM BACK because you want them to "gel" with the rest of the team. all the kids on the team are his friends anyway and always will be. when they join him in the future they will know each other well regardless

Point proved - chemistry is over-looked... By some It ain't about f*in Riverpark, it's about getting past the D10 finals... Mark - I agree with you most of the time, but in this case not. There's been many years where moving the bes 12s would have just made a great team weak with the result being two mediocre teams... Where's the advantage in that? ESPN may not care but it is about winning in all stars, right? So you do whatever gives a team the best shot of winning. Damn, there's that logic again! Long-winded, Mikey? Sheet, Greenie just can't type that well nor hold on to a thought that long. Dobermans might be mean, but throw 'em a piece of meat and they forget what they were growling about lol
