You must think that Tony and Dwanye are bad for youth sports too because of all the time and effort they put in over all the years? i dont know you other than from this board. but what i have heard about you and Duane from my friend (MOST HATED MAN IN TURLOCK LL) and what i have seen of tmurphy, LL should be happy to have guys like you in the program and ashamed that they gave you and your boy a hard time. keep chuggin away lance, within a few years you will more than likely be doing more for Turlock Youth Baseball than LL could through your BPA and SS programs.

Lance, I would never have a problem with my sons playing for you. Bad for youth sports. What a stupid comment.
I didn't see the play but when anyone gets tagged in the face it's a natural reaction to swat back with your open hand. It's called a defense mechanism and that's what Adrian did.
I wish your boys would ahve played but I respect that you bowed out before the draft. Had you been vindictive you could have let a team draft Michael then quit. But you're a class act and did it the right way - despite the wrongs that have been done to you. I think that defines integrity. If everyone in this league had integrity our kids would be better off. Fortnunately the vast majority involved do.

Thanks for the words everyone. I think that after enough time everyone's "agenda" becomes clear and the reason behind being involved is seen.
With running a Turlock Travel League and Fall League, I can look at things in two ways.....
1. The other leagues and programs are our competition. or 2.The other leagues are our partners. Build up the other leagues and programs and this will give rise to more players who want to play and more experienced players along with providing options. Instead of working againest each other, work together. I bet that all the kids who played Fall League will be stars this year or at least better than they would have been without playing. The extra at bats, extra practice will only make the LL stronger, only makeTurlock Baseball better in the years to come. If I can look back and say that I had a small part of improving baseball in this area, then it was worth it. I think that's the same way Craig, Tony, Chris, Mike, Dwanye, everyone here feels..... we are all trying to make Turlock baseball a better place.
We do it for the star players and would all love to see someone from here go on to bigger things. We do it for the kids who are just starting out and a little rough but playing ball gives them something positive to do.
I wish numbers were up. It's sad that not enough kids are playing ball. Hopefully we can turn the trend around together. It's not about us. It's about the players being involved in something positive and enjoying being a kid.

i cant believe you left out the redsox coach as a good coach.this year will be my 13 year as a little league coach.in the 13 years ive coached ,i have never had any problem with any coaches or parents.i am also starting my seventh year as a youth football coach.i get on this baseball site to just check things out,and i see you put most of the blame on me.i was the coach of the team your boy had thesituation in ,i saw what happened it wasnt good.you had a problem with me,becausei said it was wrong of you trying to make your whole team guit that game. I agree its was just a reaction by your boy, there just kids.for you to say i have a personal problem with your kids is unbelivable,i would never hold a gruge against any kid lance.ive sat back and watch you attack me.I know everyone on this web site, they will all tell you i like to laugh and have a good time.you have a lot of anger in your writing, and i just cant say nothing anymore.Igave seven years on the nat. side, five years on the american side, ive donated equipment food and thousands of dollars to these leagues all in the name of the kids. Its funny how people can post what ever they want, but the first time people get alittle angry about these false comments they get shut out.chris, this site is cool i enjoy it,but to watch people use this site to slam and degrade people is ridiculos.most of the people in this league dont care about all the negativty, they just want to play baseball.all they hear is the bad . all i know about the board is ,alot of people steped in last year when all but a couple board members quit.my hats of to anybody who gets involved.Lttle league is like a bussiness it takes people to run it smothly,if you have negative people in your company always showing the negative it will never survive.my name is bryan thomas for those who need to know who made this statment.

I agree that 95% of the people in the league live in ignorant bliss. They don't get involved and will never visit this site. Bryan I don't question your motives or your commitment to the kids. I'm glad you jumped in and made the points you have made. I can't wait for things to get rolling in a couple of weeks. How about a scrimmage with the Giants

Brian: I don't think Lance was slamming you in his post's. There are two sides to every story and unfortuanately not all people get to hear both sides. I respect the hard work and dedication that many people in this community have given to LL and travel ball. Lance for one has done more for Turlock kids than most people will even think about doing. We knew Duane got hosed and supported him just like I would have supported you or Jeff or even Craig if this happened to one of you. We don't always have to agree with everybody but at least the common thread is that we all want the best program for our kids. I believe it can happen with guys like you and Lance involved. You both have made good points and put your name to them so that's a start. I agree that most people can care less what happens......until a decision is made that affects them or their kid and then they want everybody to rally around them for support. False statement's? They're more like opinions and we all have them. I've never heard Lance or anyone else for that matter discredit what you have done for LL or TYF, the only thing I've heard is that people wish there were more people like you out there. I would have to say that you and Lance have alot in common and it's a shame that the politics involved have cost Turlock LL a couple of great kids a chance to play. Lance's kids should be playing here and not Ceres.

I respect Bryan too. We haven't always agreed on things but that is the competitiveness of sports. Just wasnt happy about the comments that Michael was tanking the tryouts. One of the big reasons he doesnt play baseball much is he doesnt want to live in brother's shadow and have people expect him to be as good as his brother. Maybe some people can relate to that? I dont have a problem with Bryan.
