No Mike, we're not talking abot your love life! lol Greatest coaching mistakes... # 1 for me has to be "get that elbow up" meaning the instruction dads/coaches yell when Liitle Johnny is hitting. What would you add to teh list?

Ahh the list, #2 would be my all time favorite "watch for the bunt sign with 2 strikes". ala Duane Alamieda.

Its a good thing they don't keep stats on coaching errors. I'd have to say routinely going too long with a pitcher who just doesn't have the stuff. Its tough to go down by 4 or 6 runs and expect a good outcome.

Sounds like an advocate of the little league pitch count rule the national side loves so much.

Crash, at your age the only thing you do 85 times a night is get up to go to the bathroom.

How about the best advice to give one of these coaches that would make these mistakes. I told Alamieda to "take two weeks off.....and then quit".

85 seconds, who said that? Actually the Levitra counters that but for some reason she keeps slippin' nitrates in my red stripe. Should have looked for the indicater on that one coach.

O.K. Crash, how about the worst comment you've heard one of your parents/fans have made to an umpire. I actually heard are favorite Oriole dad this year say, "your stike zone is smaller than a pekinese hard *n". Good 'ole Neal, he also coined the phrase "power L".

"wow - is that a mistake?"
If the pitcher has any kind of fastball, yeah. Unless the batter has hands of lightening a good pitcher will see he's moved up in the box (and about this time the pitcher gets a big 'ol grin) and then blows the fastball by him. Sit down, Sayonara, bye-bye... I've heard Dads yell this to their sons even at the high school level. Dumb. I think it's better to stay at the back of the box, give yourself more time to identify the pitch and then blast the hanging curve - or fastball. Of course if the pitcher's second best pitch is a lob ball then by all means move up. JMO...
