What is all this crying about players not being there and being sick. If ltl Rocko was sick, I hate to see him healthy, Holy Cow. Patrick unavailable, I had a feeling that was B.S. I thought Don Verde was a family first man. WTG Greenie. ;D Who ever came up with front loading the tournament was a great idea. It will generate a lot of interest and allow for the Championship to on the following Saturday. I hope that is the way it is going to be.

Hi all, I finally got around to reading this. In our district we do not have double headers in AS in the 11/12 level, 11 level or 9/10 level. Bob Berry always makes us drive back down to Madera, remember? I like the post about having the teams at their best for the final games. I do understand about having the advantage or disadvantage of winnner's bracket or loser's brackett, but when this was first dicussed and pitched to me, what was mentioned the most was not having it come down to just one game. To having it really show which team was the best. This isn't all stars. In all stars when you draft for all stars, you guys know to go for pitchers. You know that you have to do that. But in regular season you don't do that. You hope to have a couple or three good pitchers, but you need a well rounded team to go the distance for the whole season. In AS's things are different. Are we going by AS's rules or Regular season rules? I know it is Americans call, but I hadn't heard yet. Let's think about what is best for the teams, and what will show off what we have tried to accomplish this year with a lot of working together. I would hope that if there is a reason that American has to have the tourney over on the 16th, that they will let us know. If there isn't a reason, then perhaps we can really consider having a great Sunday game, which seems a great compromise. Any pitcher who throws over 20 can not pitch the next day, but yet it is not as bad as a double header. Think it through gentlemen. I know the great way that you have conducted yourselfs this year, at least the majority of you, (JF you know what I am saying) you can figure this out. If it is manpower you need to work the concession, or keep score, Tony and I can keep score, and I think I know enough to find others to help in the concession booth. WE can pool together and get it done. And all be happy about it. And make the players feel like kings while we do it.

Sooooooooooooooo!?! RANDY. Where are U at with the TOURNEY? Is the Saturday - Sunday an Option? It would be nice to know prior to the FRIDAY before tournament play begins. ;D ;D ;D ;D
How is this being decided? Have the respective boards voted on the format? Is it going to be presented to the boards?
