Well who are they this year? I say Voumard, Olsen and Mendez and a couple of talented 11's from our side. i havent seen many games but have "heard" about going ons on here and from talking to folks around the HS. so i will say that IMO "the" standout from N/NS is the shortstop from the Giants. if he continues to grow and improve i can see him as a 2 year starter at a local HS, probly at 3B or the outfield. again i want to emphasize thats just my opinion from what i have seen from the A/AE side, i believe their best player didnt play LL ths year and is doing travel year round

Without a doubt the Giants' short stop is the best 12/13 year old player in Turlock. I can't imagine that will change in the next couple of years. His greatest quality maybe his attitude and competitiveness.

I am sorry but I would have to disagree at the age of 13, Kramer.

I'm referring to the 12/13 Little Leaguers. Thanks to LL we have both playing in AS this year.

I wish all the boys the best of luck. I have seen many a Little League standout do just as Crash has stated. They get involved in other things in life and some may change there feelings about baseball. Happens all the time. With that being said good luck to all that make the All-star squad. All those names mentioned are great Little League players and I hope they all continue to play the great game of baseball. Then I have seen others that were slow developers in Little League and even High School that went on to play in the Major Leagues. You cannot always judge the book by its cover.

I understand and agree. Running down 1st baseline with a ball being hit to the 3rd base and shortstop side I think it is a horse race btw ZO & DSJ. The difference is DSJ has a couple steps being a left handed hitter. Unless the ball is hit hard right at a fielder and a quick throw I can not see either one being thrown out. Running for 2/3 or I have not seen or can remember any other player who had the kind of speed ZO has. There is no one else close to him. Great job ZO. Does he play football?

No he's not. He's going to give his body a rest after 3 years of getting pounded daily. But he will be back

Jim--whatcha gonna do if lil Greenie becomes a 49er when he comes back? If he sits a year, he's back in the draft and he'd be coming back for his Varsity year. And you know who's in charge of drafting at Varsity for the Vikings ;D
