Damn, Mike - do you draw me into everything, even when I have nothing to do with it!!!!! They say the best way to learn is to teach so I guess I chose the right profession. Maybe one day I'll be educated enough to satisfy you! lol

I doubt it. LOL The reason you are the topic of every conversation might have to do with the fact that every time I go to type something your damnblasted Ranger.com pops up.

I would rather the hooter site pop up! I agree with Chris, the games are just a primer for the smack we get to talk here.

Back to the Topic.....
Craig has a great point about parents thinking little league accomplishments showtrue baseball success when it really doesnt.
So many parents think being an all star means that you are travel baseball material and that is simple not true of all. Most travel teams are made up of the top 1-2 kids from each all star team so it is an all star of all star teams.

I think success is subjective. What is true baseball success. Winning games, improving your skills, playing on 20 travel teams because all of the coaches want your kid. Success at any level is a good thing. Lets try and keep some perspective. I will use my youngest son. He had trouble hitting the few games. but at the end of the season he was starting to rip the ball. Is he a success because he accomplished .750 in the last three games or is it dimenished because he hit .225 for the season.
I am very confused.

I think a 9 year old kid with a wonderful attitude and never-ending smile is pretty good. Especially for a kid that didn't way 60 lbs.
Then add these numbers from his first year in the Majors.
OBP .462 Slug .310 BA .276 RBIs 6
I think thats pretty damn good.

I'll take those numbers from some of our 10 and 11's. Good job Jensen.

I better not tell him about the slugging number or else he will start swinging for the fences. ;D ;D Chris, he's over 60lbs now. barely. He will also be wearing the cup full-time.
