Not to make the latest beer thing go away, but that is why you have to have a good constitution and a working constitution. I do remember when a board member of American made the board follow the Brown act for not notifying her (she was a board member) when they wanted to get rid of her. She had the audacity of wanting the board to follow the rules. The very thing that is a problem today. I am only worried about the interleague playing when it comes to how the rules are going to be enforced. As long as everyone understands that National and National South President is going to be enforcing the Code of Conduct and the rules strickly for the N/NS managers and coaches I think it will be okay. As long as we are fair and do not have unfair rulings, and we treat everything equally it should be okay. I know that I have a concern that sometimes bad behavior brings bad behavior, but I think if we are aware of it and the managers are aware of it, it won't happen. Maybe I am being a Polly Anna, but I can alway hope. I know the players are looking forward to interleague play, so I want to do it for them. But I will be honest, I don't want a lot of argueing on the playing fields this year, so I guess if we have problems we can always stop it at the half. Or we can do the really brave thing and the teams causing the problem, just don't let them play interleague. That would be the best.

I've managed for AE for two years now and the opposing managers and coaches are great - never had a problem. I've faced American the last two years in pre-season and once last year during interleague. Same thing. I think things will go as smoothly this year on the field as they always have.
