Something I thought I would throw out for discussion. This year there seems to be more show boats in little league more than I can remember in years past. What happen to winning with class and losing with class? Kids get a game winning hit or hits a homerun and they try and show the other team up by making some kind of comment or hand gesture. Kids at 11 or 12 years old are a long way from being show boats, respect the game and your opponent.
Coaches back in the days, if you were to do somehting like that when you made a good play or had a big hit would chew your butt out or sit you on the bench. If a kid hits a homerun he needs to act like it is nothing new and he will do it again. I will use Greenie for example because he is one of my Renegades anyway. I saw him hit his first 2 homeruns this year at Julien and what was so nice about it he did it with class. He rounded the bases in normal fashion no hand gestures and no comments made to anybody. That is the sign of a real ball player showing respect to the game. Just something that ticks me off, not that it affects everyone else the same way. I am not saying all kids are doing it but more than I have seen in the past.

LOL - I actually thought this post was going to be about hot dogs. I was going to comment about how awful the hot dogs are at the two parks. Take it from a guy who knows hot dogs we gotta get better weiners.
I used to suggest to folks that they bring the kids and have a cheap dinner at the park. Now I head to the taco truck and Richland. Any hoo, JMO.
As for hot dogs on the field. I haven't seen too much of it at the Little League level with the exception of a few glaring examples. What I have seen is some behavior from players that should get them some long suspensions and a good whooping at home.
Walking off the field during a game, trash talking about chin music and throwing things around has gotten really bad. I'm proud of the Giants kids. You won't see any hot dogs playing in our games. I think our parents would spread a little relish on their fannies if they pulled any of the crap we've seen on other teams.
We have a saying, "Win with class and lose with grace." If you see us doing anything short of that I hope you rip us a new one on this forum.

The hot dogs are as bad as a Dodgerdog.....just half the size. I must say Greenie and Sneizek are class acts out there. They took the loss to the Orioles in stride.

My previous post was absolutely in jest to tease Trevor. Those O's have proven they're for real.

As a National mom....we have losing with grace down. I just wish we had more practice with the "win with class." Oh well, NEXT YEAR!!!!
