mcleanhatch... I think our Nats.11's proved they could compete with RP. The question I have is was this RP's best 11's or did their best play with the 12's and we played their 2ND. tier 11's? with the size of their league i would guess that you played either their best 11's or their best 11's minus the top 2. when a league is that big there are 12 YOs that wont make it that probly could have made any other D10 AS team. for there to be 11's on their 12U team they would have to be major studs in the top 3 of all the 12 year old All Stars as 11 year olds just to justify them being there

I have a question for this thread. If we cut teams which i agree with Pedro that we need to cut down on the number of teams in the majors. If we cut the NS down to two teams would it even be worth having a league with just two teams? I know it would be something we would have to build on, but wouldnt it be better if we could join the two leagues to build one really good league. Not to challenge Riverpark but just to get kids interested in Turlock baseball on this side of town? Then when it got to the point where we did have ten major teams and thirty minors split it back into two leagues? Or with LL rules is this even possable?

NS has a population over 20,000 which is the maximum. The two leagues can't be combined and operate within the rules. I don't believe we should reduce the number of teams. I thought the Yanks, Angels and Braves were appropriately competitive. We do need to build our numbers but we also have to be careful as Soderquist alone can not support much of an increase in teams.

It has often been suggested that Turlock LL not accept outlining areas such as HILMAR-DELHI.... and that we redefine Turlock Little League Boundaries ?? NS has a most interesting leauge as that despite the 20K population this league struggles to maintain even 3 Major Teams ?? Just do not get the kids out for baseball...........The last 2 years the NS major AS team has gone 2 and out. This year failing to score a run in 12 innings of play ? Compare to this other teams ( not RP ) but even Los Banos looked much stronger than NS

I saw a post that said little league takes into consideration areas with other leagues. I understand that Delhi and Hilmar, both part of Turlock Little League, have their own leagues for little league age kids. This being the case maybe Turlock should look at dropping those two towns and absorbing the NS into the other three leagues. Either that or maybe we should ungerrymander, if that's a word, the lines in order to even out the number of players in each league. There's a lot more families in NS that can't afford LL than in any other league in Turlock. Yes, and I understand it's only $75 and we don't turn anyone away but at the same time some families can't afford $10 let alone $75 and having to get thier kids to practice and games 4-5 days a week.

Thier were only 2 11's who are playing for our 12's team, and I agree, your Nat's 11 gave us quite a run, we were pretty luckly to pull that one out. BTW, RP 11's play for the section championship tommorow night in Twain Harte.

Cheer you on. They are the enemy. Unless you are going to scout the competition then ok. . But to root for them, that has to be the craziest thing. This is the team that ended your dream and you want to root for them. What is this world coming to. I know you have to root for the District that you belong. It is always nice to say that we lost to that team in the District Final, while they are in the State Final ;D. Good luck to District 10 in all of the Section games and hopefully they move on to Norcal. BTW (My first initial) ;D Chris, when is the next TNLL board meeting? Was it last night or next Monday the 31st.
