i like Turlock...........but i also like GV and BC.........but GV and BC are a bit young with sophmores...................
outside of Wheeland i see a lack in DOMINANT pitching thoughout the league......some good pitchers but none that i would catagorize as dominant......jmo

I'm hoping with Wheeland leading the way, there will be few younger ones that will step up and impress... I believe that Ryan C will be one of those kids at CenCal he more then held his own with the 18u team

Turlock Varsity will sweep Pitman and run the table in the CCC. As far as the JV and Freshman levels, it all depends on who plays up and who stays down. There is talent on both sides of town. Voumard is gonna be huge for Turlock on the mound.....it might be Varsity or JV.

Turlock varsity should roll right through teams without a problem. Jv and freshman are gonna be a battle between turlock and Pittman for the title in my opion. Depending on who performs and who we move up or decide to keep down will decide.but its safe to say at all levels the two turlock teams will dominate the central valley. Turlock has a lot of talent through great coaching starting when they were young. Gotta love this town.

We don't know who will be moved up. We haven't even had tryouts yet. Voumard is going to be one of the studs we will get but we can't forget about players like Luis Mendez who I think is a amazing player and others Like anthony Martin, Murphy, and many others. It's gonna be tough to see who goes and who stays. The jv has a lot of great players to. We wont pull up a kid to a higher level unless he's going to play a bunch.so well see what happens. Ill be doing the freshman as the infield coach with Cornell and mendonca. Jv. Is Gilbert and Sperry possibly Mayer and varsity will be delamotte amador and possibly Chaney

No matter who lands on fresh-JV or V... I think the next few years will be great years for THS and Pitman. There is alot of talent in and upcoming to both schools. Happy New Years

Damn Chaney, for once you know actually make sense! Next to Wheeland, Voumard throws harder than anyone else in the program. I imagine as a freshman they’ll continue the pattern of recent years and only bring him up to JV.
Kramer probably has the next best velocity but I think they'll keep him at SS most of the time just like they did last year. Herrera is the incumbent as the second starter and there's no reason to think he won't get the job done. Of the incoming juniors McDonald logged the most innings for the JV team last year. He’s savvy and has a lot of experience so I’m sure he’ll have continued success at the varsity level. If Silva can spot his pitches and mix it up he can be effective. Ford and Flood also saw time on the mound and can be counted on to throw strikes. With Heller’s size and physical maturity perhaps he’ll experience an increase in velocity and come into his own on the mound. Most have a lot of experience pitching in travel ball so I don't think the move to varsity will faze them the way it might others. They’ll all probably get the ball early in the year, as none of them will be expected to go more than a few innings early on.
Though they may not have a dominant # 2 they will have more depth than most teams. With the defense they'll have all they really need is someone that can consistently throw strikes, keep the ball low, and let the D do the rest. They don't necessarily need a # 2 that has to throw seven innings. If whoever it is can go 3 or 4 strong innings they could use the other guys to face a few hitters then bring in another fresh arm. Their hitters should put up plenty of runs, which will give their pitchers a degree of comfort.
Whatever scenario they go with I think they'll be just fine. It's gonna be fun to watch that's for sure. I’m looking forward to it all beginning Feb. 15…

i think you guys are selling Merced a bit short.......the coaching is a little too experienced to fall that far down.....

Mark, if you saw Merced's JV team last year you would see that it will take more than Lou Souza coaching to finish above .500. As for GV, I heard Arnsberg refuses to play baseball for them. I can't figure that one out because Scott Solis is the most easy going coach in the CCC. Buhach and Pitman will have the same problem.....the kids they are counting on will be sophomores. Atwater and Los Banos are not worth mentioning. As for the MMC, Beyer should be the team to beat for the next few years.
