Kinda my last thing on this topic. I'd like to retract my comments about the THS administration not because of the way they handled things but rather because there really is no way for them to defend themselves.
I've noticed several THS employees have visited our forum including those in administration. There is no way any of them would be worth what we pay them if they attempted to respond on this forum. The reality is they have to stay mum on the issue even as some would verbally pummel them. So all the recent post regarding the Payne situation are really meaningless because with the exception of Mark all of you who have contributed to the debate have done so anonymously. [typo]

We'll never know what may have been (or what really happened) under Payne. I'm sure all parties will look back and see how things could have been handled better. And though he did win over many parents and players, the lobbying on his behalf is now a mute point. In the best interest of the program and players it's time to move on. Coach De la Motte brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. He'll run a great program and recruit an experienced staff. I'm hoping Mendo will coach part-time b/c he can teach the players so much. Things happen for a reason, maybe this is the way it was supposed to be all along? Bulldog baseball is gonna be just fine...

My final comment on the circus at THS is the only solution is to let the select senior parents have their moment in the sun. Since they knew well before anyone who would coach or even make the final cuts for that matter. The only good thing to come out of this was that there were signs that the non-seniors kids and parents have a clue and showed unity towards eachother and what is right. These same families did not want to see Rob step down and when he did, lobbied for Gilbert to take over. Everyone respected both men the same way they have Payne in the short time he was in charge. The best solution would be to have all the sophmores stay down and play with the kids that have their back and want them there and not have to listen to some classless parent from the stands jacking their jaw about him taking playing time from their child. The Kramer's and Flood's will play beyond high school with or without THS. I understand this might be a seniors last chance to live the dream but that is what slowpitch softball is for. If someone thinks that this would not be possible, we do have about four sets of senior parents to thank for showing us how it's done.......walk through an open door and Hottie until you get your way. What an example you guys have showed the rest of us. This really has nothing to do with baseball anymore, it's about ethics and the majority would go to bat for Payne, Mendonca, DelaMotte or Gilbert. Unfortunately whoever takes over will be a lame duck coach because just like little league we have too much parent involvment.

I am a parent of a varsity player and I have been reading the blogs both on the MODBEE forum and this one. I am hoping that as parents and players that we will put the coaching "drama" behind us, no matter what side of the fence you were on. I believe that THS has a good chance of making playoffs if and only if the players and parents leave the past where it belongs. We are making ourselves the laughing stock of the CCC- it is time to let our young men play ball.

Thanks Mark- I am sure you have the schedule, but if weather permits, Turlock will be playing at home tomorrow against Tracy. It should be a good game. Hope to see a lot of Bulldog fans out there to cheer on the team.

Alright, I can't help myself........I haven't slammed Cumberland in awhile. Does his most recent post sound a little like he is trying to get a foot in the dugout? Or is it just me? Sorry Craig, it looks like they filled all of the spots. I guess it takes more than a LL Championship and a pair of shorts that Larry Bird wore in 1982 to get the nod. Don't feel bad, I won my fantasy league three years in a row.......and I didn't get a call either. Of course I didn't send 60 e-mails to the admin. expressing an interest. Game on Crash! hehehehe

Have they issued you a real gun and badge yet Barney or are you still practicing with the toy models? BTW, that's two LL championship you sum Hottie! And while we're at it what's up with the gay panhandler and the baseball as your avatar? Is that your friend from cell block # 9?
Nope, not interested in any high school coaching job. Ryan's in good hands and Brett needs me to taxi him back and forth to Cencal so my plate's full (there's an opening for your lame azz). I'm looking forward to watching games from the sidelines for a change. That way I can hear your entertaining rants - that is when you're not befriending the local prison population with that gap toothed smile of yours...
