there was a kid that was the everyday starter for THS last year as a Senior and through the 2nd half of his junior year................as a frosh he was 5th on the depth chard for middle infielders (basically 3rd string 2nd baseman).........as a sophmore he was backup 2nd baseman and well by varsity he matured into a decent starter..............so i wouldnt give up on any player at the lower levels............

Rod, How are they doing. I here the Stkn Schools are strong again this year. Presentation and Annunciation big feeders to St. Mary's. Nick should be averaging double doubles

Dave.....Not sure what's in the water in Stockton...but they can sure play some basketball. I expect Nick to lose about 10 lbs before the seasons over....
Apologies to all that this is off topic......Dave and I are both fans of the CYO basketball program, which includes Turlock , Lodi, Tracy, Manteca and Stockton. The level of play compares to Travel Baseball as Dave said St Mary HS in Stockton is a BASKETBALL MECCA and the area kids are all fighting for a spot...........

Great kids too - most of the stating St. Mary's freshmen basketball team and several back-ups played on my Rangers team this summer. Expect great things from Gio Brusa on the hardwood and diamond. He's a switch hitter and last summer he hit a line drive over the Black Oak Casino sign at Angels Stadium. It was still rising when it left the park. Unbelievable! Nicest kid you could ever meet, too. Also the starting QB @ St. Mary's. Should be fun to watch his career develop.

Yea, St. Mary's has always been able to recruit. By playing the holy bowl with Central all those years, they have taught central a few things. ;D ;D

He's about 6'1" and is a year older than most freshmen so he has the size and age, but they had a junior & sophomore QB on Varsity team this year so my guess is they'll groom him. With the depth they have they can afford to.

Yea Crash, most of them are, but you didn't hear that from me. I went to Lincoln, I have to say. St. Mary's sucks. It was engrained. ;D ;D
