The team beat Morada (Stockton) a second time with a score of 11-4. They will now move onto Alameda in the Bay Area (Oakland - Hayward). It looks like all their games are at 5:30 pm (no lights). The whole team did a great job with Austin Bush going the distance on the mound 5 and 2/3 inning with Tyler Murphy coming to get a come back to the mound for the final out of the game. Three more long balls totaling out to about 25-30 home runs for the team. Jordan Gonzalez had 2 and Gavin Gaffney had one. We have had some business' step forward to help out with the finances but we need more for these players and their parents. Those of you who can help out, please step forward or if you know a business that can help talk to them. Last time I remember a team from Turlock going to the Division level was when Scott Renshaw (AL) took a 10 year old group about 5 to 8 years ago. Some of those players just graduated from high school this past year or two. I think that one of the National teams at one time reached the Divisions. I believe it is the same year as the 10 year olds above but they were 12 year olds this time on National side. This team need two bats that were broken in last nights game. The players are using their own bats. It would be great if the someone could help the team out in any way they can. Contact Tony Murphy for the particulars of the bats. The players have busted the butts to get where they are today, now is the time for the league and others to step up to the plate and help out. I challenge everyone to match me (by sponsoring a player) with a $100 (this is what I have donated) or what you can give to pick out a player and his family and supporting them. There is a fundraiser at Lampost Pizza, 2321 West Main (Turlock Cinema Center) on Thursday July 24th from 4pm to 9pm. A percentage of all Medium/Large and X-large Pizza sales with to the team. Just mention All Stars when ordering. Coop

Cogratulation's to the A.E. allstars and good luck in the Regionals. I thought the Regional bracket was unusual allowing Petaluma Valley and Wood Creek first round bye's when you have even number (6) of teams involved. I assume format was determined due to no lights at ball park? Team has done great with little rest, so I'm sure they will have continued success.
