Geez Greenie, it's not like your love life (over before ya know it). Build the anticipation... let the fans enjoy it.
I'm not saying don't get you want the kids to be fairly fresh. The teams in the winners bracket will have the upper hand anyway because their games will be spaced out waiting for team to get thru the losers bracket. It would be a shame fopr a team in the losers bracket to have three games in 4 days b/c then they have almost no shot... I could see starting on a Wed or Thursday and ending Sat evening. Have a BBQ for the final game. It would be cool if the minor city champiosnhip game could be played the same day, the game before the Big Game, so more fans will come out, watch, buy the BBQ or whatever.
And If the kids aren't ready for all stars after four months of ball they never will be... what's another few days?

True, I spaced it out over 3 weeks, because I thought of the pitchers. In tournaments we could get the whole thing done in two days!! 10 days would work though.
