We just want to say that we are very proud of all the boys who played this weekend for the Turlock Thunder. They did such an awesome job and they all had a great time playing together. They are a great group of kids and we look forward to many more great memories in the tournaments to come. Coach Bryan and Deb

Following the Titans game Jens told Jeff it was the most fun he's ever had playing baseball. Indeed they are a great group of kids and were always there to pick each other up and celebrate their team mate's success. It was a joy to watch.
As Jeff stated, the kids enjoyed some great success. Everyone contributed and I think that was the most exciting thing. Jens got to start against the SJ Titans. After giving up a first inning homer the teams 24 year old first baseman he went on to pitch well. Then the huge first baseman comes up again. I'm thinking, "Please walk him. . . Please walk him. . . PLease walk him!" Bryan tells Jens, "Challenge him." I'm thinking OMG! Then Jens goes out and strikes him out with the new palm ball Jeff taught him.
I would have walked the kid but in what was a seminal moment for Jens, Bryan showed the faith in him and he delivered. He became a pitcher yesterday and I gained a great new respect for our coaching staff. Thanks fellas!

I heard the Thunder put a arse beating on an ex player from the National side. 2 questions. 1. Was this kid really pitching? 2. Why?
Another case of daddy ball gone mad!!

I was surprised as well but he hung in there the best he could and never quit. I don't think it was a case of daddy ball as I never saw dad the entire game. We beat them 18-0 and they tipped their hats after 2 innings. Nevertheless, I think the 2007 Dodgers would have beat them.
