Thanks guys! I agree with Tony that you can have it both ways. I guess I was looking for the fun we had that first season.

You'll always remember your first time! ........If they had Levitra back then maybe she would remember it too.

ROTF - Levitra wouldn't have been necessary I promise you. Nothing great ever last but at that age 10 seconds may have been an over estimate.

Tommy is legit, I just hope Fresno St. works out. Rob thinks he should have signed or went to jc. if Toms goal was to get an education than Fresno was the right thing to do. if his goal was to take a shot at the pros than JC or signing would have been the goal. either way i hope it works out for him

Don't mind me asking Chris, but who are the 12u Turlock Rangers Coaches?
I dont think you can complain with finishing in the semi-final game out of 12 teams. The team to beat you was the Triple Crown World Series Champion Sliders and they have since got stronger!! The Rangers are a very good 12u team.
Daddy Ball is a problem everywhere. Even if it isnt a problem, some parents will say its a problem using it as there excuse. Our team has solved that problem by having a coach who does not have a kid on the team of any relation. We allow him to make all the decisions even when we disagree.
We have carried 15 in a tournament and as few as 9. I happen to like 15. We got everyone in every game this weekend. Some kids are just there to pinch run in the right spot. (We still couldn't get a decent 9 to hit though!)
Craig, if you want to talk about the clouds opening up and Thor striking down upon us.... no better example then our game vs. TABU. Did you see that play?
For those who dont no, last inning--2 out--winning by 1--elimination game vs. the number 1 team--two runners on--pop up to CF--automatic out-- we are already giving high fives, game over, packing our bags, and the unthinkable. Hit that kid 100 balls in a row and he doesnt drop another. Game ties.... we go on to play for another hour to the 10th inning and end up on the short end.....That team goes on to win two more and take the championship. Tough.
Every tough loss makes you want to work harder.

Lance, I felt bad for that kid. Your right that kid would catch that ball almost everytime. But on the bright side it was one of the best games i've seen all year. TABU is a tough team, just ask the Rangers.

Lance -
As I said I have no problem losing to a tough team like the Sliders. They didn't own us but maybe they didn't show us they're best. I do think we won a lot of games despite the coaching as we had that much talent. Daddy ball is just part of the problem and by daddy ball I don't necessarily mean the coaches kid gets an inappropriate amount of playing time.
I know the Raptors have had there share of problems and I've seen it on other teams as well. This isn't quite the same thing but lack of preparation, almost a complete lack of game management skills and just felony dumb positioning and line-up creation was the problem.

Chaney,
I can't ask the Rangers about TABU because the game didnt last long enough for them to remember anything..........ha!
Is that too low? Really anyone can get beat by 17 runs once in a while. We got beat by the Yankees 12-0. We lost in 10 innings, they lost in 3. A loss is still a loss.
Let me refer to the other post that said TABU and Rangers were the only teams that requested the first two games so they had to play each other. I did not set that up. The funny thing is, had we beat Triple Crown, we would have played the Rangers!
The Rangers beat Triple Crown, a very good team, and a team that we got killed by so they beat some one that beat us and we lost to a team they lost too.
I do not have to be so PC now that I'm not running tournaments until next year now right? You'll all forget by then, hopefully
