THE THUNDER ARE ALL FROM TURLOCK. WE TRIED TO PLAY WITH SOME KIDS FROM MODESTO BUT THAT WAS A NIGHTMARE. IF WE COMBINED THE THUNDER AND RANGERS, THERE WOULD BE A LOT OF UPSET PARENTS. YOU GUYS KNOW THERE ARE A LOT OF PLAYERS "GIVEN" POSITIONS ON THE FIELD WHEN THERE ARE BETTER PLAYERS FOR THAT POSITION. I THINK IT WOULD BE FUNNY TO SEE THE MELT DOWN WITH THESE PARENTS WHEN THEIR KID IS PLAYING RIGHT FEILD INSTEAD OF THE INFEILD. JMO would it be better for them to meltdown right now than come HS age?

Why is it in little league right field is a stigma but in the higher levels the best ones seem to migrate there. the funny thing is when we went to the City Game our first year in 2001 we moved our whole infield to the outfield (they were all 12 YO) our OF was really good. it also helped that we had 2 of the 3 top middle infielders in all of Turlock (all 4 LLs combined) as 11 YOs. we still had 6 pissed off parents, but it was the right thing to do and the best players got the positions what i am trying to say is that unless you got BALLS OF STEEL, silky soft hands, and natural instinct you WILL get moved to the OF. lets put it this way if there are 3 12 U teams in Turlock and lets say 2 13U and 3 11U? thats 8 Shortstops and only 2 open spots for HS. the higher you go incompetition, you will find that the worst defensive player will play 1st base and not Right Field. as to OF. your best defender with the best speed goes in centerfield. you best arm goes in right. and you best HITTER goes in left if he cant field ground balls

would it be better for them to meltdown right now than come HS age? The $64,000 question. Thats why the more positions you play the better chance you have in H.S.

if you look at MLB, it would say it is safe to assume that most of your Super Stars are OUTFIELDERS

The $64,000 question. Thats why the more positions you play the better chance you have in H.S. the more athletic you are will get you a better chance in HS, that is of course unless you dominate a position

I hear my man Rolen threw a no no today against the Club All Stars squad?? If so congrats to Nick for what I would think was a dominating outtng. Look forward to seeing many more good games for years to come. Thunder came back in both games to make the 2 seed which allows us to play at 8 am....Oh goodie Good luck to the Rangers as well at whatever time you are playing.
