Plus the new UIC is going to be keeping an eye on the MIB and those expensive bats the use.

You guys do have the best player in Turlock on your team(IMO). It's going to come down to the Yankee's and us. Plus we love the Fastballs so that gives us an edge! Wow! Can't believe the lack of respect American/American East gets... But I guess it's true. All we have is a bunch of wanna be Little Leaguers. We'll be lucky to win any games this year against the mighty National!

Greenie: I'm still waiting for your definition of stud. Besides ZO, lets hear what else you got. I will admit he is naturally gifted but I see some flaws in his swing that could be corrected. Look at Austin Bush for example, he is fundamentally sound and that will stay with him well into the next level. Kids like ZO dominate at this level but if he does'nt make a minor adjustment here and there he may struggle. Bring him to the American East, we will correct the problem.LOL

Anyone care to place a friendly wager on which league will dominate? Beer and wings for the winner. I got 3 teams in the East that should sweep interleague play. Plus the Orioles in the American will cake walk all over you guys. LOL (but serious)

Mike~The flaw will be corrected when he gets some better coaching. The only thing I worry with Austin is his growth. You don't see to many 7 footers playing baseball. We know who the studs are around here and most of them will be going to Pitman. Even a couple on Your side go to school on our side of town but play with you guys. It's just to bad we can't keep them all together. We would give Elk Grove a run for their money at sections.

Wagering on Little League games is strictly against the rules!

LOL Greenie
Guys - The last time we discussed individual flaws regarding any of our players we hurt some folks feelings. I'm not trying to limit anyone's comments and I do not let kids on here. Although their parents are welcome. Just a heads-up. BTW Greenie - The coaching you refer to will begin next week.

We would give Elk Grove a run for their money at sections. Apparently Greenie hasn't seen very many AE games the last few years... If I do recall the 12U AE all-stars swept the Northern Division the last three years running. Not a bad run. 10U did this year as well. Yeah, Riverpark spanked us but that's a whole different thread! However the 12U team was the only one to beat Riverpark in three years (that is until they got to the World Series). And the AE 11U team split with National this year. Granted, not all are going to THS but the vast majority is. I hope it's just people talking smack and this supremacist attitude is genuine otherwise it's easy to see why there has been such hostilities at the THS/Pitman games... It's just to bad we can't keep them all together. True, but then some "studs" would be riding the pine...

I think Greenie is right, that some studs will go to Pitman. Kids always look to the current champ as the staple of success. But they fail to look at the long term goals of the program and where that translates to where they will be by there junior season. Just ask any kid who decided last year that he was a Steeler fan if he still likes them. Lets teach them to look ahead and not jump on the bandwagon of a program that rode a couple of studs to a championship.

Note to Chris: Let me clarify that ZO is an amazing talent. I also hope to see him succeed at every level he plays. He was just an example of several kids that have more talent than most kids can dream of but if they don't continue to work hard they will eventually run into the kids that do and things won't come as easy to them. My statement was not a negative or meant to single anyone out, just to say that raw talent combined with hard work and dedication can lead to great things. Most people have one or the other but not both, some things can't be taught.

I am enjoying the POSTS regarding the A/AE talent pool, I have yet to hear a cheer for N/South who just happen to play in City Championships last year. Might just be a kid or two who can play some ball……….
