Not yet, but we do aspire to someday have your knowledge on so many issues. LOL Give up before your self esteem becomes totally shot and you wind up homeless on the street blubbering about how you were one day gonna be a sheriff with a badge and a gun and the respect of your fellow man... lol no one can predict the future (except Craig). Well then here I go again... Several of these kids will find other interests and put baseball behind them. Some stars of today will come to a fork in the road where, for the first time in their life, the game becomes a challenge. They'll no longer have the success their natural abilities enabled them to in their youth and they'll get disillusioned and quit. As long as it comes easy for some life is good. Some don't know how or will not want to suffer through the struggle. Others will continue to play but discover other things (women, cars, etc) and not dedicate themselves to developing their game so will never blossom to their full potential. Some players without as much talent will bust their ass on their game and in the gym and become studs... and perhaps one or two of our current "studs" will devote themselves fully and accomplish something great. The latter two players are rare. I was watching Jim Lefebvre in a hitting video last night and he said great baseball players have the ability to “master the boredom of repetition.” Truer words have never been spoken. It’s the player, no matter the talent, that can take 200 swings or grounders or whatever - while focusing on proper fundamentals – that will take his game to the next level. If you have a player with superior athletic ability … then you get a Derek Jeter, Michael Jordan, Jerry Rice or the like. I see a lot of kids just go through the motions at practice or the batting cage. They take the swings, but don’t have the focus – and if they continue to repeat poor fundamentals the repetition is almost pointless. These are the Glory Days… so let’s enjoy them while we can

A truer statement I've never read. Kudos Craig!
I'll share a secret, I once aspired to be a ballet dancer but became disillusioned and began skipping practice as a result of tutu creep. Now look at me. If only I had overcome the freaking tutu creep I could have been a star!

Damn, I got a little choked up reading that. Well done Craig, you are amazing. I believe Jim Lefebrve is right on the money and the rest of your thesis was ripped off of me. I told you that last night at practice(remember), of course not, you were to busy writing it down to recall that I was the author.LOL Well regardless of who gets the credit I find that to be true.
Chris: perhaps a ballet fantasy camp is out there, never give up the dream. I bet they make tutu's that don't give you a camel toe.

Wagering on Little League games is strictly against the rules! not if you are wagering poker chips. and those poker chips can have a preset value. LOL

True, but then some "studs" would be riding the pine... i doubt any studs would be riding the pine in HS. what i do believe is that what some PARENTS believe to be studs in the form of their kids make get a rude awakening if their final deestination is a D1 High School.

Camel toe - hehe! Sorry to upset your ample stomach around lunch time with the visuals CC. I do need to add to my much more than ample girth about now. Help me should it be Latifs for a #3 Club or a dozen chicken wings/fries at Juras or a regular French dip at the Red Steer?
