The above is just one of my kids and I have two others that play too. It may seem like to much for some but they love it.
Here are the stats and moments to be proud of:
Most games in a day by one kid: 5 (3 in Fresno and 2 in Ceres) Most Games in a weekend By One Kid: 7
Most Games In a Weekend by all my kids: 14 (Adrian 5, Michael 4, Robert 5)
Most Games During the Week Days: 8 (Adrian 4, Michael 2, Robert 2)
I have had all three of my kids play on the same team once, Turlock Fall Ball 2005. Michael, 11, was lead off, Adrian, 12, Batted second, and Robert, 7, batted last. Robert lead off the inning with a hit. Then Michael got a hit, then not to be outdone, Adrian got a hit. 3 in a row, back to back to back hits. I was a little proud.
I have had Michael's team play against Adrian's team in a tournament. Micheal pitched to Adrian in the game twice. Adrian saw two pitches in two at bats for two hits vs. his younger brother. Older Brother showing dominance. They had never even threw BP to each other before.
I have had both boys pitching at the same time in a League play-off game at Rainbow fields on fields right next to each other. I stood in the middle and watched them both. They would release at the same time and pitch the same thing, strike, ball.... it was crazy. Both ended up being the winning pitchers that night.
I was umpiring Robert's game when he hit his first homerun of his life this year. (in the parker, legit).
Adrian's first homerun was off of Brett Cumberland in the Minors, Cubs vs. Orioles. Adrian batted out of order in the second and struck out to end the inning. He then had to lead off the 3rd and blasted his first homerun every. He came up in the next inning and hit another homerun. Back to back.
Having all three of my boys selected for the Ceres "A" all star teams in 2005.
Michael had the game winning RBI in Oklahoma to send us into the play offs as a 10u. Biggest at bat of his young life. We went on to finish 3rd out of 64. Micheal struck out the side swinging in the bottom of the 7th vs. 3 former team mates to end our Ceres League game in a tie and a tie for first in league. I have never seen him throw better. Best performance under pressure. I had chills.
Adrian retired 15 batters in a row, 2 hitter vs. the number one team in the nation, Twins in Feb. 2005 . 85 strike outs his 12u year in LL. 1 pitch away from a perfect game. 4 perfect games in Ceres League (limited to 3 innings)
Adrian not asked to be on the "A" all star team in Ceres, then facing them in the championship game in there own tournament on there own field, where he threw a perfect 3 innings, 9 up 9 down against them and went 3-3 from the plate.
Adrian throwing a 6 inning 1 hit shut out in the quarterfinal game in Las Vegas Nationals 2006, we went on to finish 4th out of 44. Adrian pitched 14 out of 15 scoreless innings vs. the First Place Red Sox in Turlock LL this season, and was also thrown out of the game once too! Bad Memory.
These are some of my memories of my boys playing ball over the last few years. No one probably cares but me but I wouldn't trade any of these memories for anything.....

That is too much Lance. You gotta set some limits. I don't think anyone would advocate that much baseball for a kid even if he wants to do it.
It doesn't matter how good he is mechanically. At his age with all the physical changes going on his body he needs time to rest. He may not like it but you need to make him take some time off.
Repetitive use injuries could cause him some serious problems in the future.

I really didnt realize it was quite so many games. I wouldn't advocate for a kid playing that much either. We are going to stop playing when we finally win our first game.... j/k My other kids dont play that much and are moving on to basketball now.
We are careful with his arm and we keep a pitch count. He plays first base when not pitching. We don't throw during the week. Ice, rest, lots of checking and asking how it feels. I know it still is not enough....
Add up your kids games... I bet it is around 100.

Man ! that is a lot of games. That's a major league season. I can't believe there isn't a little burnout. I thought the 25 games we played last year was alot. I will agree with you Lance watching your kids succeed is the best feeling. I was going nuts when my son did something great. huh Chris.

Lance, you just took over as the new "Crash", come up for air buddy. I do appreciate the humor, especially "to bad the Rangers never get to wear the blue jersey's" part. I've tried to get Craig to be a little innovative with the uni's but to this point he is still old school.
Crash, HEADS UP..... How's the ribs this morning? Probably as sore as my arm.LOL I hope you had three hours to read everything Lance wrote last night. I think that should stoke the coals a little. BTW-It's nice to see you still got warning track power....Radio.
My opinion on little league fees, make it an even 100 and raise the junior program up another 40 dollars. The word people on the american side is the last few years has been that city is not giving them a break on the price for Pedretti and that is why they seem to always be broke. If the league is run good and the problems are minor than people will see that a small increase is nothing compared to the alternative.

Lance, you might want to send the boys (Raptors) to the Dominican Republic for winter ball. I hear the caliber of play is close to what you guys are. hehehe Just think, there is another 45+ games and that would put you guys over 200. WOW

Ah, memories... Too many to mention but this is a good one. Bakersfield, 8:00 a.m. start, game time temp 32 degrees. Standing between two fields watching both my boys (Ryan and Brett) pitch (non-Ranger teams) on different fields. Within (literally) seconds of each other Brett gives up his first bomb on the field to my right and then to my left Ryan does the same. I even think it was on back-to-back pitches. Hilarious. I'm not sure the boys thought so (at the time) but it was pretty funny.

Mike. I gotta a felling my ribs don't feel - or look - as bad as Little Alex' eye. Poor kid. What the hell kind of coach hits 320 foot fly balls to his players anyway? Nah, my ribs are fine. My arm doesn't fully extend though - then again it hasn't for almost 30 years... It's just a little worse today than usual!

I'm glad the kids were 320 feet away. That they couldn't hear or see the agony you were in trying to go yard.LOL Little "A" was looking like a cyclopes.

in 35 games this fall (September 3 to November 11) my pitchers threw the following amount of innings
Willie Galdamez--34 innings Turlock High School Trevor Cesar--27 innings Golden Valley HS (Merced) Vinnie LaMattina--33 innings Golden Valley HS (Merced) Tajz Wells--30 innings Hilmar High School Kyle Climer--12 innings Los Banos High School Nathan Gonzalez--10 innings (LATE ROSTER ADD) Pitman HS (Turlock) there were a few more with less than 10 innings
that amounts to approximatley 6 innings every 2 weeks. thats how you get work in and keep from overworking arms.
