That would be a good choice, they are pretty good in baseball and basketball but football gets all the press. (for obvious reasons)

That explains you pumping up Pitman though. Tuition would be a bit high.

If tuition is a problem ask Central for a tryout...

He's going to Pitman. Crash~ as an educator how hard is it to hold a kid back? I've been debating it a couple of years now. Lil. G. birth date is 12/2. The dreaded cut-off date. I think his chances of getting into a college would greatly improve with that extra year.

Crash an educater? He has been held back for 30 years now, they just started paying him royalties from the movie about his life. Maybe you saw it "Radio". Sorry Craig that was too easy.

Unless he's really struggling the district would probably be against it but I'm not sure what the law is. Tho they may be against it you might have the final say-so. I could look into it if you'd like. I taught freshmen for a lot of years and there was always a big difference in the maturity between the girls (mature sooner) and boys (some never do ... So I didn't start my boys until later. They will both be 18 when they graduate HS, which I think is good. That year makes alot of difference (not for sports, but life in general). A lot of kids are 16 at the beginning of their senior year... I just think 17 is awful young to take on college and the world.

Actually Greenie, I have a friend in a similar situation and he was told that unless the kid is really struggling or missing alot of school they strongly discourage it. As long as he can test close to that grade level they will not do it. But if it is a maturity issue or sports issue they will not even listen to it. If lil' G is still in grade school your chances are better. I think it has something to do with money and not so much the kid.

He's still in the 6th grade. But the problem we have is that he's in the gate program I have talked to his teacher and he laughed at me Maybe I should home school for a year. With all my knowledge he should be able to go back a couple of grades..

That would work . But if he is in the GATE program, I think you are SOL unless you make them an offer they can't refuse

I build it in during the day. The other forum is dead man. It was fun while it lasted. I don't think I will get into to much trouble with the bash brothers, you can't get a word in otherwise. Not to say I could add anything, this thread has 12 pages ;D
