If the catcher hung on to the ball, he is clearly out. There is no way the guy gets his leg between the catchers leg to touch home plate without running into the catcher first.
If you notice from the picture, WHERE is the UMPIRE? He is not in a good position to make this call. And that is probably why he blew it.... FYI It was not one of my umpires.... they never miss a call do they!

this game was at buchanan hs in clovis against the CAL BLAZE in the championship game. that was the go ahead run with 2 outs

I was upset at the time the play was called.

Just one more reason to hate umpire's. Bad calls and point shaving are all they know.
