at Buchanan HS in Clovis
Warriors win both games
Game 1: vs. Fresno Cardinal. Warriors win 10-3. warriors looked like 10 year olds in the field putting up 6 errors. but also put up 19 hits. Warriors pitcher Bradin Hagens gave up 3 runs 0n 3 hits, none were earned.
Trevor Cesar led the warriors going 2/3 with a 2B and a HR while driving in 3. Ian Fregosi went 2/4 with a 2B and 4 RBI.
Game 2: Warriors win 5-4. Turlocks Willie Galdamez got roughed up just like in last game of Turlock Tournament, this time giving up 5 hits in 1st inning for 4 ER, great defense saved his butt. he settled down and got pumped as a result of the classLESS antics of the opposing team. from innings 2-6 he gave up 3 singles to get the come from behind win.
Trevor Cesar came in fresh off his trip from Georgia in the World Wood Bat Class of '08 Championships to close and was all over 90 MPH to get the save with 2 K's while also going 3/3 with 2 doubles -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

just something to tihink about, lance.
maybe you guys should do the 18U touranments as 19U. because of the new Junior College rule that came down stating that JC's cant have a summer team and a fall team. i think alote of players might be looking for a place to play. even if BPA wont sanction, you can do the 19U as independant tournaments. really, at that age kids can care less about BPA, Super Sereis, USSSA, all they want to do is play ball.
yup we just finished our pool play games going 4-0 and so did the Cal Blaze also at 4-0. we will probly eventually meet up in the championship game tomorrow if we both win out semi final game

Warriors take 2nd place going 5-1 at Buchanan HS, losing in the championship game to Cal Blaze 7-8
Offensive player of the tournament was Trevor Cesar of Golden Valley HS in Merced. he went 13/21 with 4 HR's, 6 2B's, and 15 RBI's in 6 games. many of those Homeruns clearing the 375 mark by several feet
defensive player of the tournament was Anthony Jakosa Pitman HS class of '07 who will be attending Merced College next month.
not just my words but also the words of a local scout "best defensive catcher in the valley, and its not even close to #2"
