Pitman will play for the Sac-Joaquin D1 Section Championship against Perrenial Powerhouse Elk Grove Wednesday at 7:00 PM in Lodi at Tony Zupo Field.
Elk Grove has won 2 of the last three championships, its catcher is a member of TEAM USA, another one plays for NorCal in the summer (16 on average NorCal players get D1 scholarships pr Drafted every year from their 20 man Senior Roster), and has played its Non-League games against the toughest teams in the toughest tournaments in the state. they are battle tested and have a strong tradition.
Pitman played a relatively EASY non-league schedule but has 2 of the best pitchers in the section (one got a D1 Scholly to San Jose State as a pitcher and the other got a D1 Scholly to U od Nevada Reno as a QB in FB, he has a good chance of getting drafted as a pitcher this year also). they are hot right now and have been scoring runs recently that they havent been able to score all year.
they are a good group of kids, many of which came through the National/National South part of Little League.

Sounds like it going to be a good game...We'll be playing Wednesday but I hope you're going to provide a narrative.
