Saw this on another site... Agree or disagree with any? Have any to add?
1. Thou shalt not bunt to break up a no-hitter or to extend a hitting streak.
2. Thou shalt not swing at a 3-and-0 pitch when your team has a big lead.
3. Thou shalt not bunt while holding a comfortable lead late in the game.
4. Thou shalt not steal a base in the late innings with a big lead.
5. Thou shalt not score from second base on a single with a big lead in the late innings.
6. Thou shalt not, when batting, look back at the catcher to determine pitch location.

When it comes to travel baseball, many of these rules dont fit and are broken all the time.....
THe reasons are.....
1. You are trying to save pitching so you try to run rule teams. 2. Runs Scored is the third tie breaker and a team may have to score a lot of runs to make the play-offs or get a higher seed. 3. Teams have come back from big deficeits in late innings, and you try to end the game early. 4. You dont want the other team to have another chance to bat because then they may score more runs on you and that is the Second Tie Breaker, Runs Allowed. 5. You may break one of the above rules to waste time due to the time limit.... If you "waste" more time then you will not have to play another inning. Saving pitchers, and Runs Allowed.
Here are the most commonly broken rules.... 2. Thou shalt not swing at a 3-and-0 pitch when your team has a big lead. 4. Thou shalt not steal a base in the late innings with a big lead. (Broken all the time) 5. Thou shalt not score from second base on a single with a big lead in the late innings. I have even seen teams call it a "Walk Off RBI" when they win 10-0 and the game ends after 4 innings. True it ended the game and it won the game for their team but it's not a walk off.....
This one I hate and should never be done... 6. Thou shalt not, when batting, look back at the catcher to determine pitch location. I hate it win the batter looks at the coach's signs too or some one yells out what pitch is coming.... that is lame.

Now do I agree with playing baseball this way? No, it really is unsportsmenlike but those are the rules and you play by the rules to win.....

You are trying to save pitching so you try to run rule teams. most tournaments are 8 Runs after 5, 12 A4, 15 A3, 20 A2, ten running a team shouldnt be as issue. does a team really need to score 20 runs by the 2st inning? if a team scored 10 in the first and still going odd are really high that they will probly score 20 by the 4th. there is no need to humiliate a team of any age by scoring more that that for the sake a saving a couple innings of pitching. if a team has to go to the third tie breaker to get into the playoffs it probly mean they will end up losing in the first round anyway. less than 1% of the time if the deficite is 10 or more runs? so choose to be the VISITORS for ALL pool play games, and be the home team for all elimination games.
