I think our dodger fan totally misunderstood what I meant by the entire post. i think i got the jist of it. i am just the kind of guy that believes in holding those DIRECTLY responsible responsible for the crimes they commit (remember possession or use of steroids without a script is a felony regardless of what MLB does or doesn't do)
You cannot tell me that not one pitcher was an offender.
no i cant, Ryan Franklin from Seattle tested positive this year
They are putting all the focus on Bonds for the entire steroid problem.
because he is at the front of it. He is the #1 (Steroid Aided) player in baseball
He should fess up because we all know he did it.
But the same goes for many others.
But the same goes for many others.
agreed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So the commissioner has no responsibility to do anything about a well known steroid problem?
the commissioner is a retard, and just about every1 in baseball knows that. but i still don't hold him directly responsible for what has happened, although he could have done things to help curb it.
i still and always will hold directly responsible the Players that used
When I said Barry was being called the best player in baseball ...........absolutely no where did i state best ever.......during the All Star game in 95 or 96 they were calling him the best player in baseball ........i did not say best ever!..............
sorry, i must have misread your statements
This is not a Giants Dodgers rivalry just a discussion about the steroid problems that are killing baseball..........
i agree
why isnt it killing football.......much more rampant in football than baseball.........
different crowd, different fans, different atmosphere
The reason the other players do not come with circumstantial evidence is because they are not breaking records..
no, its because they weren't spokesmen for BALCO like Bonds was. Bonds was the face of BALCO Labs. and because other players didn't have personal trainers that were well known STEROID DEALERS roaming around the clubhouse openly like B. Bonds did.
Bonds is the main focus because he is doing just that, breaking records.
that too, i agree
Maybe when Roger Clemens is 110 and gets to 512 wins they will finally see he is on the juice too.
i doubt he is
Too many people are turning a blind eye to all of the offenders.
could be.
Why hasn't major league baseball done an investigation of what has happened over the past 10 or 15 years and go after them all.
how can you investigate that? thats impossible
The fantastic commissioner of baseball just tried to get himself out of a pickle by putting all of the focus on one person..........Bonds........
the commissioner probably cant even tie his own shoes he is so inept
Since we are talking about murderers and turning it into a dodgers giants rivalry how many giants fans killed a dodger fan in the parking lot....zero........but remember the Giants fan killed in the parking lot in LA....... .so since that happened lets blame all dodger fans and call them all murderers......
i thought i couple lines up you said this wasn't a Giants/Dodgers Rivalry?
he he ha ha, since you don't know what the deal was let me tell you that killing had nothing to do with Dodgers-Giants!!!!!
That was a gang rivalry between 2 Southern California Sureno Street Gangs where one guy so happened to be wearing a Giants Jersey.
so since that happened lets blame all dodger fans and call them all murderers......
how about NO. and lets also NOT blame Vin Scully, The Los Angeles Dodgers, Dodger Stadium Security, or City of Los Angeles.
how about we blame the 4 Gang Members that actually did the shooting/killing?
how about, we hold them directly responsible?
I do not mean give Bonds a break for doing steroids but too much focus is on him about the issue.
"I do not mean give Bonds a break for doing steroids but too much focus is on him about the issue"
that sounds like a Barry Bonds apologist/sympathizer
because he is at the forefront. the brightest star will burn the brightest when it blows up
These sports are putting these guys into the position of having to make a decision of do steroids in order to make the big pay day or go get a real job.
your playing Mr. Liberal, {we cant blame the actual offender, we have to go find some1 powerful to blame, like a company, a conglomerate, or George W. Bush}
if i am making 50K a year as a teacher BUT can be making 400K a year as a drug dealer is society putting pressure on me to become a drug dealer?? Would that make it societies fault if i decided dealing drugs instead of teaching kids "in order to make the big pay day" was best for me. NO, it would be MY FAULT or any other person who makes that asinine decision.
Should we hold LL responsible for one of its players shooting up ROIDS at Pitman HS? Maybe LL put too much emphasis on All Stars and he thought he needed ROIDS to really become an All Star?
you see where i am going with this? this can go on and on until we hold those that are directly responsible, responsible for the acts they commit.
Ultimately, IMO, its the players that make their own decisions and should be responsible for them when they get caught.
We all have to be aware of the problem and I hope they finally go to the source to fix it. The pressure needs to be put on those that run the sports to fix the problem.....don't put all the blame on the drug addicts go after the drug dealers.
theres plenty of blame to go around but like i said i am more of a direct responsibility type of guy
