I wasn't even born yet!! But Tony was 4 years old! Smart Butt! I love this! Thanks for finding this Chris. This is so great. I was watcing so many of the old films. Sometimes the 50's are not bad. I wish sometimes we could go back.

I found it interesting that LL hasn't really changed that much in 54 years. The 44' pitching distance was interesting. Kids running the bases without helmets. They even have a job for the ladies - "keeping score." The stereotypes were all so unabashed. Yeah a trip back to a quiter, gentler time would be nice. Then again we'd have all been terrified of the Red Threat.

Sometimes having defined roles are the best. I get tired of having to "guess" which is the "proper" role for women in this new millenium. I get a lot of people ready to put me in my place, but when I want to stop being involved, there is a scarcity of people who are ready to fill the void. Yeh, going back to the Fifties isn't the worst thing, but I don't think my big tush can fit under my school desk anymore. LOL MEL
