All great kids for sure. I wish our leaders would step up and work with the rookies. We seem to have the Vets always together and the rookies sticking together.

That's alway been important to us. Older kids warming up with younger kids. We have a zero tolerance for kids picking on the younger kids or excluding them in anyway.

This list of kids all have great attitudes and there are many more examples in our leagues. They come to play hard and enjoy a competitive game against friends.
With respect to veterans working with the lil guys, this tone is set by the manager and coaches. Only by mixing them up will the younger players gain more confidence and progress faster.
I seem to recall Tony B. in his days would pull the vets aside an expect leadership and responsibilty of his older players. The older players took time to support younger players...it made a huge difference in a 9 or 10 year olds life when the studs on the team are rooting you on. This player mentoring is fundamental to any team.
By the way Chris.....Great game against the Red Sox. It was good play over all.

You're right on the money Rocko. Veterans have to lead by example and bring the younster players along. If you start that as a tradition on any team it carries forward to benefit all the players who come after.
Hey thanks for the Sox comment. Hats off to the Sox and the youngster who started the game. He did a fine job. Bryan Thomas was an absolute prince and made the game thoroughly enjoyable. The Sox kids were disappointed as ours would have been had the score been reversed but they were certainly well coached and great sports.
