The biggest conflict we get on the National side is about having to buy a new pair of cleats. thats means you and the rest of the BOD on the N/NS side must be doing a good job. ;D ;D ;D

I'm not a majors coach and I don't have a kid in majors so maybe I shouldn't comment and thats why this is only worth a half cent and not 2 cents worth. thats a great reason TO comment. no agenda, honest opinion, perfect combination

I heard thru the grapevine that A/AE manager & coaches were not going to be allowed to sit on our bench outside the dugout when we play N/NS. I hope it's not tru b/c if it is it's just plain stupid. Why force us to do something we have traditionally done? We're at our house, we should get to play by our rules.
We do not have the same size dugouts as Soderquist. They're cramped as it is... and at least the area where the coaches sit at Soderquist is big enough for all three coaches and there's an opening so coaches can stand up and the OF can see you if you need to make adustments.
It's petty rules like this that drive people away from Little League. Argghhh! Some of these LL rules often makes me feel like a juvenile.

I honestly think that inter-league should not hinge on where a coach sits. Randy and Chris have worked too hard on this along with some others to let it fall apart because of the coaches stoop. I did like sitting outside the dugout last year but if I had to sit inside I think I would still be a superior coach.LOL I agree with Craig that we should go with the home team rules at each park but if it is going to make things complicated than just concede that to the national league. I for one will be coaching my kid from beyond the leftfield fence. I know Craig loves it when his players are looking at their fathers in the stands during a game for instruction. Seriously, as long as he plays short and hits at the top of the order I will sit quietly 200 feet away.

I agree the rule doesn't make sense on its face although I can guess the reasons. But what rules do you choose to enforce? Little League doesn't allow us to decide which rules to enforce.
XIV is pretty clear on the subject of field decorum. I think its a little presumptious of us to insist on it and I hope it isn't a deal breaker (I doubt it will be).
Ehmmm, Mikey its only 185 feet away in left at Julien.

185 at Soderquist and 200 at Julien. LOL I should have been more specific, sorry. I should sit 300 feet away to catch the bombs that Trevor will hit off of some of the competition. BTW- I'm kidding, in case some clown thinks I'm serious.

Good points Chris but common sense should prevail here. It's something most of us like here so why force us to change??? Kinda rude to do so. When asking which rules we choose to enforce you make a valid point... but LL International contradicts itself from the get go when they TRAIN umps to call a larger strike zone than what's outlined in their book

Let me make just one comment... I have heard more then once from coaches, managers board members etc... "The leagues should follow the guide lines set down by little league they have been doing this for decades and know what they are doing" (Rule Book, Operating manuel, etc ) and the easiest way for any league much less 4 leagues to come to gather is to follow one set of rules and that is what we are going to do. End of story.

Byrd: You can have right field at Julien, we got red ants the size of golf balls out there. I got dibs on leftfield, unless someone finds it in the rule book where we can't sit out there either. How about "Bird's Landing", o.k. it's already taken but it has a decent ring to it. When the game sucks we can shoot sporting clays.
Greenie: Happy b-day, is Renee doing anything special for you?LOL
