I too am sorry to hear any player was ridiculed ----- "apposing coaches and parents were ridiculing a boy who was in complete control of his game"
Our league will HONOR THE GAME....Your POST does not identify the game so it's hard to know the exact circumstances..let's hope this never happens again.........

Kid86,
Sorry to hear about your issue. There is never room for ridicule or mis-treatment (verbal or physical) to young athlete's in any sport. With out knowing all the circumstances as Rodney stated, it is hard to determine what happen unless we were there (maybe it is not necessary at this time to know who was involved). Once again sorry your player had to go through that. If this was an isolated issue because of the score or the way the team was playing, it might be something we all can learn from it of how curel some adults can act in a youth activity forgetting why we are all here and a learning process of how life is sometimes with competition. I am no longer a board member but if I was, I would want to know what happen so we can put a stop to this kind of action before it turns into something ugly. Fans are a little more diffcult to control (not impossible but diffcult) but if the coaches are involved then that would be something I as board member would want to know what happen. If it then turned into a pattern then that coach or coaches would no longer be involved. Of course I would want to hear from both sides.
We has something beautiful working for us right now with our inter-league play of all four leagues and having to use the new pitch count. This is really working out alot better than most of us thought that it would. I would like once again give thanks to both boards coming together to make this workable, espically to Randy Edwards and those who helped with the scheduling for all levels. It is never an easy task. Also, there was another mention about the forum that you have put together Chris with this web site. Thank you for all the time you have and are putting in to make this work. I know that it takes up alot of time for you to do this as well managing your team. Let's hope that those who post items or make their remarks can stay as positive as possible. Don't forget people some of our young athelte's know just as much if not more than most of us about the computer. So they are probably reading our comments.
Again, Chris great job. You missed your calling.

WELL ANTHONY (THEKID86) I HOPE YOUR NOT TALKING ABOUT THE YANKEE GAME, BECAUSE IF YOU WERE PRESENT AFTER THE GAME YOUR BOY CAME OVER TO OUR YANKEE HUDDLE AND WE ALL GAVE HIM A HAND. SO DO NOT GO AROUND SAYING COACHES AND PARENTS, IF YOU WANT TO ACCUSE SOMEONE SAY IT OR SAY WHO. DON'T BE SO VAGUE.

Keith, You are 100% correct, and I told my wife that I was going to call you and personally thank you for doing what you did. You and I go back a LONG way( Sat football games at Donnelly etc..), so I do owe that to you. I wish I didn't have to be vague last night but I do respect alot of people in your organization. Your kids are terrific, and one of them, we love like our own. But there were things said, and I just needed to vent. I hope we can all move past this incident. I am aware that even though it's little league, we as parents, spectators etc can get caught up in the game and I'm sure the things said were not meant with malice. That being said, we all want to protect our children and I can't apologize for that. But I can apologize for not directly confronting the indivuals who commented. All that being said, I also heard alot of praise the following day. And believe me, Sage would be ever so grateful. Believe it or not, this was his World Series. He wanted to perform well against our League's best. We spoke for a week on how to pitch you guys. So when things were said, it rubbed us the wrong way because we do have a connection to your team. We do root for your boys when they play. So if an apology is what is needed for us to move past this, then I do apologize for venting. Because we will see you guys again this season for Game 2 and we will be at your games rooting the boys on like we do weekly. So I hope this puts an end to it. I hope we're all better for it, and can let the Boys play.
