Little League didn't give us the waiver we were seeking to start the new 12 year old rule next year. This means we will be adding some Major teams this year. It's going to be very interesting how this plays out now that all 12's must play in the majors regardless of their ability. In rare cases a 12 can play AAA but but that will be hard to get an approval. It looks like our divisions will be made up of 7-8's AA, 9-11 AAA and 10-12 Majors. We will need a few more managers and coaches so get your paperwork in early. If we go to 10 or 12 teams I don't know how inter league will play out. Seems like a great idea and fun, might be flushed down the toilet after just one year .

Just one question ? Why wouldn't you still do inter-league??? Its just putting a schedule together that will work..and that should be easy.....after all it only took me 2 months before I got smart and bought a scheduling program...hahhah

This is JMO but if we go to a 10-12 team league( that includes National and NS) how do we fit it in? You have to play the teams in your division more than once. We do have that many 11's coming back. The teams are going to be so watered down the competitive level of the majors is going to be a joke. How many teams are you going to add?

As it stands right now...none But I would look at your opening day, we set March 8th one day sooner then last year and if you do the same we can work it even with you adding 4 teams and that would allow use to play within our on league 2x and still give us enough time to have a city tourney...so no worries.. but alot depends on your opening day..Both boards need to get together on this ASAP...

Randy, I agree. Both boards need to get together to discuss consistency between leagues and a common message to the community during a time period when much is anticipated. I also believe that interleague needs to happen. It is the best thing that has happen to Youth Baseball in Turlock in my short time with the league. Here is a concept...you do not have to play everyone if push comes to shove. There is always the luck of the draw on this but coaches just need to swallow this. In youth football, 18 teams where in the division and not all teams played each other. At season end the best still played it out in the final rounds. We have 65 twelves potentially coming back with 27 already in the majors and 28 non twelve year olds already in the majors....expansion at the national and national south is inevitable. Oh well! This types of tribulations must build character.
