how can a few from the n/ns know the duties of the a/ae? and isnt the AE vp in charge of the entire ae not just the majors that his son is in, just a question because we know the members of the n/ns have every answer when it comes to youth sports, because you do honor the game right.

At some point you realize that the game is for the kids and not the parents.....Sure we enjoy being there and watching, whether we are in the stands or coaching, but at what point do you find that you are living through your child? When you sign your kids up at the start of the year, do you sign a contract that allows you to grype about the team or coaching??? Get real!!!!! life is about disappointment and rewards, so rememnber your child is on the field, to learn, enjoy and grow as a child, RESPECT IS ESSENTTIAl Mom who cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you follow the thread you might notice the responses you reference ARE from A/AE folks. I don't see a bunch of N/NS folks piling on with regards to this thread.
My comments were from my observations as a coach being locked out at the field 2 out of the 4 times we played there.
I also made a point about the condition of the field during the regular season. We played a City Championship game there in 2005 and the field was impeccably cared for at that time. It was a real treat. Having said that, I have to say that it looks a lot better during all stars.

This year the four leagues worked together to have inter league play. To do this, there is paperwork that has to be filed and filed out. My husband, Tony Lema is Assistant District Administrator and worked with both BOD to insure that the inter league happened this year. Because of this, and because of being the go between between the District Administrator and the leagues, he could see what was being taken care of and what wasn't. Both Mr. Edwards and Mr. Hurd has done the jobs that they have said they would do. Both of them had to pick up the slack when jobs were suddenly left undone, and these jobs had to be done, in order for your players to have any home All Star games. The biggest problem that Tony and I can see in your leagues are the camps. It does no league, yours, ours, Los Banos, any league to have one side fighting the other side. You must all pull together, or as I like to suggest, pull together like a team, and role model as a team, to make your leagues as strong as possible. The only other piece of advice have is to stick as close to the rules as possible. When you can go to the rule book to show some rule to some one, it is a rule, and it is written down and it there is not questions The same with your constitution. You must follow it, until you change it legally at a formal membership meeting, Lots of little rules to follow, but that is what Tony and I are here for. We can help you understand the proper way to run your leagues. That is what his position on the district, and I help him with getting all the supporting documents and anyother paperwork that you muight need.

Thanks MEL you have no idea how much help you and Tony have been. I'm sure that I have been a pain in the back side...but with out your help I'm sure alot of paper work would have been in late or incorrectly done. It seems like this year, we have had "no child left behind" or at least I have not heard of any So with that said THANK YOU
