The vote was in favor of interleague. I'd like to find a way where we can play everyone in our league twice and all the other teams in town once. As it stands the tentative plan is to play everyone in our league twice, everyone in American once, and it will be a random draw as to who we play from N/NS (we'll play some but not all). I'd like to play all the teams - if it adds a couple games to the schedule that's just a bonus in my book!
We briefly discussed the city tournament. It seemed most present were in favor of it. We talked about having the top two teams play in the City Championship and the third place team go to TOC. Single elimination for the City Championship was mentioned but I like double elimination better. I think it is better becasue it allows a team with more depth to prevail.

Craig, The schedule we voted on was that we play all other leagues 1x and within our league 2x. However I will need some help (extra eyes ) do review the schedule as we get it done

If we go with the City Champiosnship series then we have until the end of June to finish it b/c we won't be rushed by the TOC. By the time the TOC rolls around we'll have had our first round of league play-offs and know who the 3rd place team is. The two teams (along with the other six from the other leagues) then have from rooughly the first week of June until July 1 to participate in a double-elimination City Championship series. Think about the interest that would create. Pretty cool!
Between inter-league and a City Championship series there's a real buzz this year about the season. It's the shot in the arm we've needed. Thx to all who are making this happen.

How many teams go to the City Tournament. top three from each league, or is it the top 12 by record. How will that work.

Unless they change it, we discussed the top 2 from each league going for the city championship.

Eight team double elimination makes sense to me. We could seed based onn the finish during the regular season.

One more thought on the city tournament...with the top 2 teams going to the city tournament we could send the 3rd place team to TOC
