In a earlier posts ( Topic: Easton Steaths vs the Big Banana )there was a lot of discussion about training w/wood bats. I can now join in on the side of GET THESE KIDS A WOOD BAT... I
Went out last night and had some BP with 4 of our RANGER 12's and I expected to see kids struggle to get the ball out of the infield and wood flying all over the place w/broken lumber.
DID NOT HAPPEN-- Two of the kids put on a show ( Nick & Austin ) driving the ball. Mark , Craig and others were correct as WOOD BAT should be part of the many tools used in the education of hitting..
So get out to the YARD and take the wood ( and pine tar )

Wood is Good. Matt let Andy use a wood bat after one of our All Star Practices back about a month ago. Gotta tell you...he could stop talking about the feel all night. He LUVed hitting with it Dodgers should strut a wood white handle to royal blue wood bat look next year. Great for kids and will add a flare of the teams offensive look.

Come on Rocko! You know once league starts the yellow banana will appear and the wood will go back in the closest. ;D
I have been making the ltl scrappers take about 40 to 60 cuts with the wood about once a week. It seems to be making a difference.

Does the bat have the same pop as the yellow banana. We need to nickname that the Blueberry, what do you all think?
