I like da Cubs. They entered the Tourney hot and with the exception of the Yankee encounter they have brought their game. Cubs are my pick for Today. I predict a 4-1 Cubs win opening it up late in the 5th, Pads peaked early against the Dodgers. ;D

Cubs are come back kids tonight, Pads started off strong but faded at the end...Lots of great defense by Cubs...Game MVP had to be Carson Allen, Game tieing HR B6 and good pitching to end the game....
Good Luck in the Finale...Bring it home for American East...

Thanks - and congrats to the Pads on a great season. Many high points to be proud of. Tonight's game could have gone either way, we just got lucky. Both teams matched up equally all season. Jeff Gomes was very complimentary and classy afterwards. He's been a great asset to the league; it's hard to believe he's moving on. Time flies and he and Tyler have had a helluva ride and have much to be proud of. Same goes for Kody. All the leagues have a lot of classy young men that our town can be proud of. It's sad to see them go every year... It also means that I'm getting old damn it!
Several teams could have made it to the finals with a break here and there. Like I said, we just got lucky. It's been a great season for Little League. Inter-league was a home run as is the new City Tourney format. I still think it could be spred out a bit, but that being said, this year's format was better than years past. It kept teams, players, and fans interested and involved until the final weekend of regular season and the new format created a lot of buzz before and during the tourney. All good for the league and those involved.
Thanks to everyone at Soderquist for being great hosts, from field preps to snack bar. You're fields were excellent this year and that only happened thru a lot of hard work.
Soon it will be time for all stars and a new buzz will keep baseball alive and well for weeks to come... I guess we must be doing something right! It takes a lot of work from a lot of people to make this thing happen, thanks to all.

Congrats to the Cubbies. It's a very tough hall to get through the loser's bracket. It's too bad there had to be a loser last night. Both teams played very well but I was especially impressed with the Cubs outfield.
It is hard to see youngters play their final LL game because the reality is we're all getting old. That year between LL and Juniors is a year of tremendous change. I hardly recognized Ryan and Adam last night. They are well on their way to becoming fine young men.
I guess that's what all of us have to look forward to in the coming year(s). You see these young men like Ryan and Adam and feel tremendous pride but long just a bit for the little boy that you've lost forever.
Great job Cubs and Padres for making last night at Soderquist very special.

Congrats to the Cubbies. I was amazed by the play of their outfield. We all wish we had players that could catch every ball hit to them. Enjoy your little rest and good luck on Saturday.

Congradulations to Craig and his well coached Cubs. The Cubs have always been tough to beat. I have enjoyed coaching the Padres for the last 4 years. I will miss Little League baseball it has been a big part of my families life. My father coached Little League baseball for 20 years, I guess it runs in the family. I will do my last year of All Stars and then Tyler and I will continue the great game of baseball in travel ball.
Good luck to the Cubs in the City Championship.
I would also like to thank all the people that prepared the field (Soderquist) is a great place to play. A big thanks to Mel and Tony for a great job in the booth. Also, great job Ralph.

It was a rough loss but so well played Jeff. Tyler was an animal in the tourney. I have never seen him play so well or with so much heart. You have to be very proud then again I know you'd be proud if he went 0-15. Give the kid an atta boy for me and we'll join you in the kids next baseball venture.
For now, lets see the success continue with a whole lot of Turlock AS wins.
