You're a class act Coop and if National had to lose the City Championship I am glad it was to you and your Yanks. Your committment to the kids for over three decades speaks volumes about you as a person.
I've been told this is your last season as a coach. What a wonderful way to go out! Good luck as you change roles and focus on umpiring. Lord knows we need some quality men in blue.
Many thanks for all you have done and will continue to do for the youngsters of Turlock.

:)Good Evening Gentleman, I say that loosely (haha). Thank you for the kind words and thoughts to all. I guess if a person has friends like these who needs enemies. No, seriouly guys, we all know why we are here. It is just that some of us are lucky enough to have a player or two who can be the ones to help mold the team into a piece of beatiful art. We are here to just do the finishing touches on that art, to smooth out the rough edges. It takes 12 or more players to make it work. We can teach and preach all we want, but if that player or players do not make the attempt to try or to set goals for themselves. It is not about winning all the time, it is about how you as a coach or player attempt to go after your goals and achieve them by winning or loosing with pride and respect, knowingly that you have given it all your best. Don't get me wrong, I like everyone else wants to win badly and finish out on top but if I don't (which I have many times), I have to go to work and the players have to go to school the next day (those who are year around school), it is not the end of the world even though sometimes it may seem to be. Once again thank you my friends.

Well said Coop, sounds like we have an ar tiest in the room. ;D I had an AA team that didn't start the best, but won three out of their last four. The improvement was great to watch. The kids were a lot of fun.

Not an Artiest just a romantic. He wakes up every morning to the theme from "Sandlot". He still sleeps in baseball PJs with footies or so I'm told. I here he spoons with a life size Mickey Mantle bobble head.

Scrapper I thought we were friends. why must you keep pouring salt in my wounds you know I have thought of nothing else after your guys destroyed us costing us the championship. Will my life ever be the same. Seriously you guys did a great job with that team. Although I thought they were pretty good from the very begining of the season and what a great finish taking 3 of the final 4.
