How about a homerun derby that will be held between the two fields. We can pick a Saturday and hold it during the break in game over a two week period. $10 entry fee for anyone who wants to participate from Minors or Majors.
50% goes to the leagues and 50% for prizes for 1 - 3 places. Two divisions and 9-10 & 11-12.

Great idea but refer to your Operating Manual for cash awards... also CIF and NCAA

I think a trophy for 1st & 2nd, maybe third if there's enough kid entered. You can call it a power hitting contest and chalk of 10 feet in front of the fence.... 2 points for every ball over the chalk line, 5 for every ball that clears the yard.
Just ideas...

Yeah - I wasn't suggesting cash prizes just to give out some nice prizes - trophies, etc.

Sounds like fun. Isn't there a week saved for rain out make ups, maybe use one of those days if available. Can hitters bring their own pitchers? What about longest ball hit for each age group? Lot of ways to go with this Chris. Good idea.
