Today's results: Pitman beats Merced, Turlock bests Atwater.
Pitman vs Turlock on Tuesday, winner is co-champs with Merced (assuming Merced beats Golden Valley).
Should be a great game, perhaps one of biggest in history of Turlock...

The expectations for Turlock were pretty high. I'd guess they have the most to lose. Playing at home would seems to be a big advantage but nerves are a funny thing. Good luck fellaz!

it is a big game, but i wouldnt say one of the biggest in Turlock History....(i mean its just for playoff seeding really).......although a CCC-Co Champs patch would be nice.......it should be packed.........and once again i will be there (probly sitting on the Pitman side....only because the Turlock fans can be a bit agitating, always have been)...........Go Turlock!!! High, of course........
should be a blast.......gonna hear a little Jon Deere Green out there and may the best team win..........

Sorry but "just seeding" I have to disagree with - your implication is there's not much riding on the line but I think there is - THE TITLE. Second place just ain't the same... Champs gives you bragging rights forever and one group of seniors will always have their last league win over their biggest rival. I don't think any of them want to drop this game. Can't think of too many times in Turlock's history where the last league game comes down the winner walking away with the title against their cross town rival. I think that's pretty cool, what we always hope a season comes down to. Outside of Yanks vs Red Sox in game 162 for the pennant it doesn't get much more exciting for me! And Back to Back Champs is something pretty special, how often has that been done in the 100-plus year history of THS?

If pitman wins they are ccc champs if we win and Merced looses we are champs so I guess this is not a big deal.So Craig I guess this is a big showdown and I think you got mark agitated. But this would not of been a big deal if we only took care of our LAUNDRY. With a game like this I hope we practice on mon, I am sure the kids would be rested up from the three day break of no practice. Maybe pitman did not practice on fri like us,or if they did maybe they will take Mondays practice off, hope to see you there mark.

Sorry but "just seeding" I have to disagree with - your implication is there's not much riding on the line but I think there is - THE TITLE. my imlpication was that is isnt one of the biggest in the history of Turlock High.......and i only say that because regardless of the outcome the LOSER still goes to the playoffs........so, yes, while it is going to be an intense game and everyone wants to be the CCC Champs.........fact is LOSER still advances...... And Back to Back Champs is something pretty special, how often has that been done in the 100-plus year history of THS? idk...........but you are right it is an accomplishment, no doubt about it once again......GL to Turlock High.......

Why can't we all get along? Seriously, it's just high school baseball. There are bigger things in life to worry about. I've been known to get caught up in the moment with the best of them but we can't expect a coach to live and breathe baseball like some of us do. I may not always agree with certain coaching decisions but at the end of the day it's not my decision. I've come to enjoy the game more by expecting the unexpected.....it kind of adds to the game. I mean, how boring would it be if a Lou Souza or Mendo coached these boys. Would Kramer get the credit for being a stud or would people just say that he was who he was because he had a great coach manipulated the outcome of the game?
We as travel ball dads gotta let it go......we put our kids in highly competive situations and have now come to expect the same results at the high school level which has seemed like our kids have taken a step back in some regards. I find it hard to expect a high school coach to put forth the effort that we've paid a travel coach to do. There is a big difference, both have pro's and con's to them. The bottom line is that the kids that want to succeed will and the rest will probably have to find the desire somewhere else. There are not too many high school coaches that are recruiting guru's and gonna take the time to give every kid 100 cuts and 200 ground balls a day. That is what we did for years and now they should do it on their own without being told. Our frustration should not be directed at any one coach but some of these kids have gotten their first truck and girlfriend which might be what has taken them away from the hard work they did a few years ago. We should put some of the blame back on the kids.

Well said Mikey. Perspective comes quickly when your kid says, "I'm not playing baseball this year Dad." Hope its a good game. Pulling for the underdogs (underlions).
