I'm a little curious as to why the price of legion ball is so expensive at Turlock....$200. The next highest is Downey at $125 and then Pitman at $75. Beyer is charging $14 and seems to be enticing kids to choose legion over some travel tournaments. They are playing a stacked schedule and one of the summer's premier tournaments at Archbishop Mitty.
If my memory serves me correctly....Turlock didn't have paid umpires for legion home games and wore those crappy purple jersey's for games. If paying for last years varsity uniforms is their goal.....then they should at least wear them. The kids and parents still with the program had nothing to do with the decision's from last year......so why must they feel the Payne. Suck it up and hold those accountable for their mistakes.

Wow - I'm pretty sure it was $50 at Pitman. At least that is what the form said. $200 for such crappy games is hard to understand.

You are correct Chris, Pitman is $50. I had them confused with Hughson at $75

So the question remains. Why would it cost the THS kids 4 times as much?

i believe it was 40, 40, and 75 when my brother played..........and the 75 was because there was a tournaments @ Clovis West in CLovis and another @ Redwood in Visalia.....

The money is what it is.....Last night we got to enjoy 10 innings with the kids and great parents.. the boys hit well and played well, one of Turlocks lefty's threw great and was very impressive. I think Merced was a little surprized today Downey should be another great baseball day

I'm not saying I don't wish it were less but the cost is less than $15 per game. It costs about that to go to the movies...

$20 for a jersey but what is the rest for guys. Glad things are going well, but really, $200? If its a fundraiser than good for THS because it should be pure profit. On the other hand, its surprising that you guys wouldn't be more concerned that you are paying 300% more than your cross town high school.
