Controversy is fun. How about just some good ol' blather. Now was that League Champs or League Chumps we talked about early in the season. LOL ;D. Congrats on your son making the All Stars bro. He's one that really deserved it from what I saw this year.

I don't know I just like to stir shit up. See we have a lot in common. It's really for the guys that can't get enough baseball. They perseverate on it and need an outlet for . . . well whatever they'd like to say.

The NS may have won the game but the National was the better team ^^ i can agree with that, but sometimes the better team does NOT win . the team in LLAS's that usually wins is the team that makes the least mistakes, oh well better luck next year.

I did not see the game but saw the stats posted on the National site....showed Nats with 16 hits and 14 walks....NS with fewer hits but also only gave up 3 walks?? Correct me if I am wrong but in the 9-10 year old level if a team is throwing strikes the other team has a much better chance of getting hits. If a team walks 14 batters it is hard for that team to hit the ball. If you give up an 8 run lead with 2 to play something went wrong and we can point fingers all we want at poor calls behind the plate but you have to throw the ball where they call em strikes. As MC said the best team doesnt always win but the team that does not give free passes usally does. Better luck next year.

My heart goes out to the whole NL team. I did watch this game and the boys on the NL team worked hard to earn every point to no avail. As Byrd said the numbers don't add up. The NL team was ahead 12-5 going into the bottom of the 4th. NS scored 12 runs in 2 inns with only 5 hits and 3 walks, in the whole game? Who’s keeping score? Why didn't the NL team use their closer until the bottom of the 5th behind 17-12? Definitely a nail biter at the end. Good job to the NS for sticking in there!

The bottom line eaglesfan is that NL lost. I know your score book says we only got 5 hits but that all depends on the score keeper. Anyway 5 hits produced 17 runs NS most have done something right. NS defense was nails in the field, I know the shortstop himself had 6 assit and a play at home. Sometimes small ball wins, walks and stealing bases'. It was Good game to watch and if you are a little league fan you want both teams to win because you have friends on the other side.

My two cents.........
You have to put runs on the BOARD any way you can, some games it's the BIG BATS, some games it's small ball.
The case in point is that NAT could not hold the lead, in a game where NS was not producing very many HITS....
Play the game again WHO KNOWS !!!
Keep in mind these are 9-10 year old kids
