ya, kent is the ALL-TIME offensive leader for 2nd basemen in HISTORY. he also had an MVP stats Kent Games---1926 Average-.289 SLG-----.506 OPS----.860 At Bats---7157 Hits-------2070 Runs-----1139 2B--------474 3B--------42 HR--------331 RBI's-----1312 BB--------664 K---------1340 ============================ Garvey Games---2332 Average-.294 SLG-----.446 OPS---- At Bats---8835 Hits-------2599 Runs-----1143 2B--------440 3B--------43 HR--------272 RBI's-----1308 BB--------479 K---------1003 ========================= now let me say that i have never seen garvey play as i was to young. but looking at his stats i saw that he was a 1B/3B and his stats while simular to Kents stats are really not HOF stats. Kents stats are HOF stats because he is a second basemen rarely put up those kind of numbers. while Garvey stats as a 1B/3B are average as those are considered power positions and to be considered while playing those positions one must put up way better numbers
