I thought if you caught you also could not throw in the same game.

Scrapper, as they say; Hindsight is 20/20 although some still need glasses for hindsight ;D
It will be an interesting year to say the least. We had fun with interleague last year so let's hope they don't decide to take that away. Seems like there are some good alternatives to the issues of the season and still incorporating interleague.
When is draft day anyway?

The draft is Feb 11. If we do interleague, I would go with playing everybody once. Just as long as the last 6-7 games are against our own division. We will see though.

I loved inter-league last year but I'm about sick of hearing whether or not we should do it again. It will only work if both sides are in agreement. This year there seems to be a couple on the National side that are against it for one reason or the other. I would say it's too late now to make it happen and just play in our own leagues this year. Maybe we will get to play against them in all-stars.

OK Guys (N/NS) its crunch time...And here are a few questions ? 1-I am sure now that tryouts are over you can do the math even Greenie should be able to add up the 12's and figure out how many teams your adding. 2-And once you get those numbers are you wanting to do inter-league ?

You guys should follow Pedro's suggestion and put a committee together. N/NS is so overweighted with major league coaches and managers its going to be tough to get this done without their buy in.

You guys should follow Pedro's suggestion and put a committee together. N/NS is so overweighted You don't have to bring scrapper and my weight into this discussion Randy I know what #'s I would use but I'm not the PA. My guess is we add 2 teams to the National and I don't know about NS. We had a lot of sign ups on Saturday. We still have one more try out to go and quite a few that have only showed up for one.

Interleague is going to happen. Randy, I would start scheduling for National with 7 teams playing each twice and everybody else once. That should be about 23 games. There is your committee ;D ;D ;D. Like Murph has said this is not brain surgery.

Did you guys on the N/NS side learn anything from the A/AE insistance on playing an a different number of games? It screwed the Pads out of the number 1 seed. What a freakin joke. Lets see how badly you can screw up a good thing in one year.

It's in the best interest of Turlock baseball for interleague to continue, for numerous reasons. I hope the powers that be can make a decision based on what's best for the whole league, not just their particular niche... We need more than a year-to-year commitment. Too much work was done last year just to throw it away so easily.

So, we screwed the Pads by 1/2 game. Lets get to the point. The point is we still are interleaguing, we are still playing each one of the teams once. Give me a break, if we want to play our division twice, what is the big deal. If you don't want to play your league twice, that is your decision.
Frankly: I don't think we are going to have the same problem as we did last year. Plus. If there is an issue about games. We can put our best 19 game record up against yours. There is way to figure it out.

Scarpper ~
Its just stupid. Act like a board member and do what is best for baseball in this town and not a noob major league manager. There are too freakin many decision being made by board members looking out for their own interest. Now you're doing the same gd thing. BTW - You're the secretary how many manager/coaches are allowed to be on a 10 member BOD?

Why is it stupid? All four leagues are not joined at the hip. If National or National South or American or even American East want to do something different and still want to interleague, then they can. We do not have to conform to a 19 game schedule because you or crash or randy say it is gospel. If we want to play additional games in our division and still meet the intent of interleague then we can. It was alright last year. We played one more game, who fault was that. I didn't hear any crap like we are hearing now. The tournament was the tournament and the best team won. The bottom line is that two teams in each division go to the City Tournament. However the individual league decides the top two teams is there own business. Right?!

Seeding is based on overall record. How many managers/coaches are allowed on the BOD?

The answer to the question you dodged is less than 5. I think A/AE learned something from last year and aren't making some of self-serving decisions. Perhaps not gospel but you may benefit from listening to some guys with a little more experience sonny.
